In a spacious hotel lobby a man in a suit sits alone on a couch, one leg crossed, watching the room. Several figures stand near the entrance in the background. In a side area against a brick wall, Gon, Killua, Kurapika and a girl stand together facing a person in a long coat. A large speech bubble declares 3 MINUTES LEFT...!!! In a spacious modern lobby, Nobunaga stands with Pakunoda beside him, both looking toward the entrance. Gon, Killua, and Kurapika watch from nearby as Pakunoda remarks, "HERE COME PAKU AND THE OTHERS." Nobunaga reacts with surprise, "OH !?" The scene shifts to a wide view of the hall where the mustached man confronts the group from behind, exclaiming, "YOU WERE CAUGHT AGAIN ?!" Gon explains, "WE DIDN'T KNOW. THAT'S ALL." The mustached man continues, "THE REWARD FOR THE CAPTURE OF THE RYODAN WAS CANCELLED, AND... YOU'VE FINALLY CHANGED YOUR MIND AND WANT TO ENTER THE RYODAN?" Laughing heartily he adds, "HA! HA! HA! I UNDERSTAND!!!"

Gon looks concerned near a reception desk while the mustached man questions whether the group followed them on purpose. A clock shows only two minutes remaining. The mustached man suggests fate wants them to meet again. Gon firmly replies, "NO WAY." The mustached man proposes they will become good friends. Killua states the same goes for him and explains they followed because there was a reward. The mustached man laughs, "HE! HE!" while Gon reacts with surprise at a nearby sound. The mustached man then addresses the cross-marked man, "SO, DANCHOU? THESE KIDS ARE GREAT, AREN'T THEY?"

Pakunoda stands with a serious expression as a voice instructs her, 'PAKU! CHECK THEM ONCE MORE BEFORE THAT...' She turns toward Gon and Killua. Someone remarks, 'THAT'S BECAUSE THEY'RE ONLY KIDS. THEY DON'T KNOW THE MEANING OF FEAR.' Another suggests, 'ASK "WHAT DOES THE CHAIN GUY LOOK LIKE?"' Pakunoda's eyes narrow in thought. 'WHAT SHOULD I ASK THEM?' she wonders. In close-up, her intense gaze fills the frame as she decides, 'I WANT TO KNOW... WHAT THEY HIDE.' A massive 'DOM DOM' sound effect erupts as her ability activates. Gon and Killua react with shock and sweat, one of them thinking, 'DAMN... THAT QUESTION...!!!' and 'WITH THAT QUESTION, HE CAN GET MANY ANSWERS.' The boys realize, 'WE WERE ALMOST THERE!! ALMOST!! THIS IS BAD!!'

A radio broadcast announces, 'THE PROGRAM IS NOW ALMOST OVER, ONLY 1 MINUTE ON AIR REMAINING...' Someone notes, 'THAT WAS "MOON CHILD."' Killua thinks, 'I HAVE TO STALL... 1 MINUTE!!!' Pakunoda extends her hand with motion lines. Gon insists, 'WE AREN'T HIDING ANYTHING, WE DON'T KNOW ANYTHING.' Pakunoda replies, 'YOU CAN READ THE MEMORIES OF THOSE YOU TOUCH, RIGHT?' and adds, 'IT'S USELESS!' Gon continues desperately, 'AND EVEN IF WE KNEW SOMETHING...!!!' Pakunoda touches Killua's head, stating, 'THE LAST DEDICATION OF THE DAY. IT'S "CLEO LOVE"...' A large 'DOM DOM' effect and 'EATCH' sound accompany the memory probe as the boys react.

Gon clenches his fists and shouts that even if they knew something they would deliberately think of something else to fool the questioner. Pakunoda, the long-haired woman with the star earring, replies that she will find out anyway and tells them to shut up. Killua growls in frustration while Gon continues to protest. Pakunoda asks how old Gon is and what his hobbies are. Gon insists she is mistaken about something. Pakunoda explains that her ability works like ripples on a lake when a rock is thrown in, contacting the original memory at its lowest point. She states she is reading the memory from its deepest place in its origin and that there is no risk the target would read her thoughts voluntarily. Gon claims he is twenty-four and often told he looks like the top model Garuho. Pakunoda laughs and says it sounds like he is hitting on her. She declares it is impossible to fool her, bids farewell until next week, and notes that her hobby is to talk nonsense.

Gon suddenly yells that he is done, sweat flying from his face. Killua reacts with shock, eyes wide and mouth open. Sound effects zig and bip appear as Gon’s hand moves. A clock on the wall shows seven o’clock on JFN. Pakunoda’s face fills the panel as she asks what they are hiding and states she will ask her question. Her eyes narrow with intensity while motion lines emphasize her stare. Gon and Killua remain tense and sweating in the final panel.

A sudden electronic tone cuts through total darkness. Biiiiip. A sharp, startled reaction follows immediately. !!?

Two characters stare in shock, eyes wide. A flurry of rapid movements follows with multiple Zwing sound effects as hands flash. One voice exclaims that they cannot be seen, while another declares I CAN SEE!!. The spiky-haired boy moves swiftly, Shu sounds marking quick actions. A powerful impact lands with a loud CRAG, sending debris flying as the long-haired character reels from the strike.

A massive close-up shows a face twisted in pain as a heavy impact lands. DOM! The long-haired figure recoils violently, shouting ARGH!!! while shrac sounds mark the strike. Below, Gon and Killua stare upward in shock. "THE ONE ON THE RIGHT FREED HIMSELF?!" Gon exclaims. Close panels capture their tense expressions as motion lines and darkness fill the scene. "THEY WERE WAITING FOR THE DARKNESS?!" "I CAN'T SEE ANYTHING....!" someone cries. In the bottom panel, a black-clad silhouette lunges forward with a powerful kick. BOM! The impact sends bodies flying amid swirling hair and debris as Gon and Killua react to the sudden assault.

Killua leaps forward with fierce determination. "I WON'T LET HIM GET AWAY!" he yells. ZAT and ZUUU mark rapid motion as he pursues the target. Multiple panels show Killua flipping and dashing through the air with SHUU SFX trailing his movements. From below, Gon shouts "GON!!!" in alarm. The scene shifts to a top-knotted man whose face twists in panic. "IF I HAVE TO KILL HER!!!" he growls while gripping a thread. "IN THAT CASE... SHIT! I CAN'T SEE ANYTHING..." he adds. Killua's determined face appears in close-up as the man prepares to cut the thread. DAMN IT!!!

Gon is struck hard from behind with a massive VLAM impact, his spiky hair flying as he reels from the blow. In close-up, his eyes widen in shock. He lunges forward blindly, shouting that even without sight he will not release his grip, declaring he has caught his target. Rapid SHUIT sounds mark his desperate hand movements. A blonde girl with pigtails counters that if Gon truly intends to strike, he should aim for the neck because she has already protected herself. She explains that when he deploys killing energy she deploys her guard, rendering darkness useless. Gon realizes in panic that she has caught his hand with her muscles and he cannot pull free.

Killua launches a powerful flying kick toward a target. In the next panel he shouts Killua's name in alarm. Gon stands tense in the background. A sudden close-up shows Killua's startled face with wide eyes. The scene shifts to Nobunaga seated with one leg raised, using En to sense surroundings while stating he still knows everyone's position even without sight. Gon and Killua react with shock as a large speech bubble declares they have failed.

In a dark room, a man with a topknot catches incoming arrows with his bare hands, smiling as he says it was a nice try. Nearby, another figure with short hair grimaces while throwing the last of his arrows, urging the opponent to show himself. The topknotted man continues to block and comment on the attack. Below, a group discusses the situation: one notes their eyes are adjusting to the dark and that hands are most essential, while another mentions a knife that was important but doubts the target remains. A voice adds that the radio operator was also involved. Suddenly, a character with glasses reacts with surprise as a loud "GIRIGIRI" sound effect rumbles. Confirming the observation, the speaker agrees that the statement is true. The page ends with a massive "Flash" effect and a speech bubble calling out "DANCHOU ...?" as the scene cuts to white.
