Killua, hands in pockets, mutters that the situation passes him off. The bearded man watches their departure alongside several other suited men and reflects that the boys have potential and time to use it well, though much can happen in four days. He maintains his earlier statement and questions what the boys truly think of them, noting that as they are now they will die.

In the grand hallway, a tall blond man in a tuxedo stands with an aloof expression while a dark-haired woman in formal attire watches from the side. The blond man murmurs, 'AN EXAM ... ?' The woman glances sideways and asks, 'WHAT DO YOU THINK ... ?' The blond man replies, 'WHAT SHOULD WE DO?' In a sudden shift, Gon appears in casual clothing, leaning forward with intense focus as powerful motion lines and a large 'ZOOM' effect burst around him, indicating rapid movement through a vertical space with railings visible in the background.

An enraged face fills the top panel, shouting, "THIS IS GETTING ON MY NERVES !!" Below, Killua watches Gon train with a skeptical expression. "But the guy with the small goatee is probably right," Killua notes. Gon continues his intense exercises, declaring, "He can say what-ever he wants, it won't change anything!! I'll pass and shut him up!" Killua tries to calm him: "Err, hey, calm down, don't take it like that." Gon presses on with powerful steps, the sound effects "GO GO GO" echoing around him. "Right now, the only exercises we do are for Ten and Ren," Killua reminds him. Gon pauses and asks, "What do you mean?" In the next scene, Gon stands before a large rock formation and questions, "Next level?" Killua replies, "And I think it's time we go to the next level." The page ends with a close-up of Killua pointing upward confidently, exclaiming, "SPECIAL TECHNIQUES !!" and "HATSU!"

Killua sits on a rooftop ledge overlooking the city, explaining Kurapika's situation. "Of course, he risked his life to be able to use them," he says. "Actually, something that agrees with our personalities, and effective in fights..." Killua suggests. "Though they can't be too simple either, or it won't be efficient. Something in between." Gon watches Killua descend while thinking, "We have to exploit our individual abilities! We have to think along those lines."

Gon and Killua sit facing each other as intense motion lines and SHUUUUU effects swirl around them. Killua tells Gon, "ERR... TAKE IT EASY." Gon replies with a loud "HEY!" while smoke rises from his head. Killua explains the plan: "FIRST, CHOOSE WHAT SKILL YOU WANT TO DEVELOP. LET'S TAKE IT IN STAGES." Gon wonders aloud, "WHICH SKILL...?" Gon then bursts out, "ANYTHING EVEN IF IT'S UNCLEAR, THAT MAKES YOU SAY 'AH, I'D BE GREAT TO BE ABLE TO DO THAT!' YOU SEE?" Killua counters, "WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT!" and "IT'S HARD!" They discuss reinforcement: Killua says, "FIRST, YOU HAVE TO KNOW WHAT YOU WANT TO REINFORCE." Gon agrees, "YEAH, BUT FOR THAT..." Killua continues, "I JUST HAVE TO REINFORCE MYSELF. THAT'S ALL." He adds, "YOU CAN ALWAYS REINFORCE A SKILL YOU ALREADY HAVE, RIGHT?" Gon admits, "I CAN'T THINK OF ANYTHING..." and "HMM... A SUPER SKILL..." Gon stands and strikes a pose with a dramatic "SHUUU" and "vlam" impact as he declares his intent.

Killua reveals, "I'VE WANTED TO TRY IT FOR A WHILE, BUT WE HAVEN'T HAD MUCH TIME LATELY." with "SECRET." written above. Gon reacts with surprise, "REALLY? WHAT IS IT?!" Killua points at Gon and asks, "WHAT ABOUT YOU, KILLUA? YOU HAVE ANY IDEAS?" Gon answers, "YEAH..." while rubbing his head. In a close-up, Killua smiles and says, "YOU HAVE TO CONCENTRATE TO DISCOVER WHICH SKILL YOU WANT TO DEVELOP. TAKE YOUR TIME." He adds, "FROM THIS POINT ON, I'M GOING TO FORCE MYSELF TO DO A CERTAIN TYPE OF TRAINING TO MASTER A SPECIAL TECHNIQUE." Gon cheers, "SEE YA!" and runs off energetically. Killua watches him go and thinks, "HE HAS A TENDENCY TO GET SIDETRACKED IF YOU DON'T JOSTLE HIM ONCE IN A WHILE. MIGHT HAVE BEEN TOO TOUGH ON HIM THIS TIME, BUT..." Killua sits alone pondering with "HUMMM..."
