Face Off Part 8

On a vast open playing field marked with concentric circles, several figures crouch in the distance. In the foreground, a spiky-haired boy grips a ball tightly while facing another boy with wild black hair who assumes a low stance. Motion lines and impact bursts radiate outward as the boy with the ball prepares his move. A close-up shows a stern adult man with slicked-back hair, eyes shut, reacting intensely. A speech bubble near him reads "HIS AURA IS RISING RAPIDLY!!" At the bottom of the page, two children shout in large starburst panels: one yells "KEN!" while the other cries "JAN!" The entire scene pulses with tension and rising energy as the game intensifies.

Gon lunges forward with his right arm extended, his body angled sharply toward the opponent. Across from him, the bandaged player with a crown-like hairstyle is knocked back by a massive impact, one hand still gripping the ball. A brilliant white burst of energy explodes between them, sending shockwaves and motion lines radiating outward. Large stylized black letters frame the left side of the scene. The ball is struck with tremendous force, producing a bold "PON!" sound effect in a jagged starburst on the right.

Three players crouch in a line against a backdrop of intense radial speed lines. The smallest player wears the number 2, a muscular player stands in the middle, and the largest player on the right wears the number 13. In a close-up, player 13's massive hands clutch a small ball tightly, fingers pressing around it as more speed lines burst outward. Below, player 13 sits on the floor after being pushed back, while the player numbered 2 and the middle player remain in low stances near a cracked wall with impact marks.

The massive player number 13 is blasted backward by a powerful impact, limbs flailing as he crashes through the air with a loud GAAA. Nearby, a spiky-haired boy watches with wide eyes while a white-haired boy stares intently. A small girl with pigtails and a bearded man observe the scene closely. The masked referee raises a gloved hand and declares that number 13 is out because he caught the ball outside the boundary, returning possession to team Gon. The crowd erupts in cheers, shouting awesome and noting that the biggest guy there has been knocked out. The defeated player lies on the ground as the ball's force echoes through the arena.

Gon stands in a low stance with clenched fists, frustrated that his previous attack lacked enough power and muttering damn. He decides to try again, winding up for another powerful throw while shouting alright let's do it again. Killua watches with a serious expression, noting that the opponent does not look pleased. Biscuit stands ready in the background. A close-up shows a fist glowing with energy as someone comments it needs more power and that kind of attack cannot match Reiza. Gon prepares to launch the ball once more with intense focus.

Gon stands tall with a determined glare, his clothes torn and body marked with cuts and dirt from previous exertion. He raises his right fist, clenching it tightly as he thinks, 'I need as much power as possible!! To take down Reiza...' A massive burst of aura erupts around him with the sound effect 'KEN!', radiating outward in sharp black spikes and white light. In a small inset panel, Gon faces a spiky-haired boy holding a ball on a circular court marked with a line, the boy emitting faint aura lines labeled 'Zzz...'. Below, Gon appears in full body view, standing firm with legs apart, his head lowered slightly as intense aura swirls violently around his form amid jagged black impact shapes and motion lines.

Spectators react with shock to the powerful aura. A bearded man with a scar questions, 'You don't want to quit?' while another notes, 'He can just keep on storing Nen like that...' Biscuit watches from behind them, asking, 'Do you regret choosing this event?' A close-up shows a man with wide eyes exclaiming, 'How can his aura be this strong...!' and 'How...' Another man asks, 'Are you joking?' In the next sequence, Gon crouches low, hands clasped together as he gathers energy, declaring, 'First up 15...' with motion lines and aura flares around him. He then unleashes a powerful strike, shouting 'Rock!' as explosive aura bursts outward with sharp impact lines and the command 'Take all the Nen from released by Ken... And gather it all in the fist!'

A fierce fighter wearing a white head covering and chain necklace launches a powerful strike, body twisted with momentum as multiple large 'BANG!' sound effects explode around him amid heavy speed lines. Below, a long-haired girl stares upward with wide eyes and a neutral expression while a spiky-haired boy beside her looks on with concern. To the left, a profile view shows a grinning face marked with a star on the cheek, also gazing toward the action.

The bandana-wearing fighter shouts 'JAN!' and 'KEN!' while delivering a rapid series of strikes, then yells 'TAKE THIS, REIZA!!' with a fierce grin. In the lower panel the same fighter continues the assault with a heavy 'PON!' impact, body extended forward. Nearby, the spiky-haired boy is shown mid-motion, reacting to the barrage.

A massive shockwave erupts across the arena floor. Razor sits firmly in a low stance, both hands planted on the ground and body braced, calmly absorbing the full force of the impact. Debris and energy ripple outward in violent bursts. Behind him, Gon leans forward with wide, shocked eyes. "HE CAN'T POSSIBLE CATCH IT!" Gon exclaims. Another voice cries out, "IT WAS PERFECT!" In the lower left corner, a small figure wearing a cap stares upward with equal surprise, two exclamation marks hovering beside them. The entire scene is dominated by heavy motion lines and a huge stylized impact graphic crossing the panel.

The force hurls Razor backward through the air, his body twisting from the blast. A second panel shows him still mid-air, limbs flailing as another explosion erupts around him. In the bottom panel, Hisoka appears in close-up against a dark background, star marking visible under one eye. He speaks with calm analysis: "AND ABSORB THE IMPACT!" and "PUT ALL YOUR BODY WEIGHT INTO STABILIZING YOUR HANDS..." Bright radial lines and impact flashes fill the upper panels, while Hisoka's face remains composed as he observes the technique.

Biscuit stares intently with wide eyes and a serious expression, sweat visible on her cheek. She thinks to herself that this person is truly strong and brilliant, noting that not a single flaw allowed him to effectively cut down the attack power. In the next panels Gon and Killua react with surprise, sweat drops flying as Gon exclaims that the attack is powerful. The scene shifts to Razor crouched in a ready stance on the court, speaking calmly that it is not a simple matter of dodging or catching. Background characters watch in shock, one noting that the ball did not even reach the ceiling and that the attack was on the same level as Reiza's, while another states that all the power was nullified by Reiza.

A volleyball hovers high in the air directly above Reiza on the court floor. Reiza is shown in a low stance with limbs positioned for movement. In the following panel motion lines streak across the floor as Reiza dashes forward at high speed, a large exclamation mark appearing beside the character to indicate sudden realization or reaction.

Hisoka stands in the foreground, sweat on his face, gripping a volleyball marked with a black stripe. He stretches his arm back as a massive burst of energy erupts in the background. A figure labeled Reiza is sent flying out of the court after the ball is deflected. Gon crouches in the distance, watching intently. Hisoka's voice calls out, "DON'T BE HASTY." Another voice questions, "SHOULDN'T YOU TAKE GOOD CARE OF THE BALL?" The impact sends Reiza tumbling, and a large caption declares, "THE DEFLECTED BALL WAS CAUGHT! PLAYER REIZA EXIT TO OUTSIDE COURT!!" In the final panel, Hisoka's face fills the frame with a confident, closed-eye smile as he says, "BACK..." while motion lines and impact effects radiate outward. The word "BUNGEE GUM!" is prominently displayed across the explosive central panel.
