What happens in chapter 174

Gon practices emission timing with Biscuit and Killua while Tsezugera reflects on his group's departure. A separate group at the stilt house concludes Tsezugera and his companions have abandoned the mission and will not return before their cards vanish. Tsezugera later reveals that the cards carried by the team were mostly fakes created with the Fake spell and that he holds the real collection.

Gon Killua Biscuit Tsezugera

Between the four of them they had 96 card types. They used "SIGHTVISION" to check their cards before their attack. The fact is they ran away after collecting 96 card types. But we're just speculating, talking doesn't do us any good. But... I'm bothered that Battera fired all his bodyguards and soldiers. So I don't know the reason but something must have happened! What bothers me is that he would call off Tsezugera's mission. Hmph. Well... good bye Tsezugera! Time's up.

Tsezugera Gensuru

This is different from the original plan, but we'll just take "one" yard of coastline from them! It's finally the turn of those kids. OK, we need some copies of "ACCOMPANY". Let's go to Masadora first. The card shows a flying figure surrounded by fish with the description: This card will take the user and anyone within a 20m radius to a desired city (it must be a city you have already visited) or to a desired player (it must be a player you've already encountered). A bright flash erupts with heavy motion lines as the card activates.

Gensuru Tsezugera

A close-up reveals Tsezugera's intense expression as he explains the situation. "OUT OF THE 96 CARDS THEY WERE CARRYING SO WERE DECOYS MADE FROM THE 'FAKE' SPELL." "IT'S 'FAKE'." In the next panels, Tsezugera continues in profile: "I'M SORRY, BUT I WON'T BE OF ANY HELP WHEN YOU FIGHT GENSURU. THAT IS THE WAY I WANTED TO HELP HIM. I ALSO HAVE 'EXCHANGE TICKET' AND 'BLUE PLANET' THAT'S JUST WAITING FOR GAIN. IN REALITY I'M THE ONE HOLDING 96 CARD TYPES." A small figure sits on a distant hill with a staff. Gon looks up with wide eyes and asks, "WILL YOU COME TO PICK UP THE PROMISED CARD?" Tsezugera replies, "I UNDERSTAND." Killua stands beside Gon. Tsezugera adds, "FOR THE PRUDENT TSEZUGERA THIS IS TAKING A HUGE RISK." Gon and Killua exchange glances. Tsezugera says, "GOOD LUCK! I'LL WAIT UNTIL YOU'VE BEATEN GENSURU." The final wide panel shows a circular view of a distant building on water with the exclamation, "THEY'RE MOVING!!"

"THAT'S NOT THE RIGHT DIRECTION. I GUESS THEY'RE GOING TO MASADORA." "WHERE ARE YOU RIGHT NOW?" "WE'RE AT THE ROCK FORMATIONS NEAR SOLIFEIRABI." "THEY MUST NEED MORE SPELL CARDS." Killua answers, "ALL THANKS TO YOU GUYS!" and the other voice says, "NO PROBLEM." In a dark panel, Gon stands with Biscuit and another girl holding cards. Biscuit calls out, "GON!" A hand points upward while someone asks, "WHERE'S THE STOPWATCH?" The speaker continues, "I HOPE YOU WEREN'T DISTRACTED BY WHAT YOU JUST HEARD?" Narration states, "THERE WASN'T ENOUGH TIME, BUT THERE'S NO TURNING BACK NOW. IT ALL DEPENDS ON GON..."
