Beneath it, the cover story continues as a CP9 Independent Action Report, Vol. 22, captioned, "WE CAN'T STAY IN THIS TOWN." Several CP9 members stand in the middle of a town street while hostile townspeople crowd the edges of the scene. A huge long-haired man laughs or shouts from a rooftop on the right, a bruised figure lies on the ground near the foreground, and the agents appear boxed in by the angry settlement. The architecture rises around them with a round medical-looking building marked by a cross in the distance, suggesting they have worn out their welcome despite whatever treatment or refuge they found here.
