Chapter 402 · updated
Zoro was handcuffed to Sogeking when his hand slipped into the open Kairouseki cuffs. During the battle in the Judicial Tower, Zoro struggled to maintain focus against the transformed CP9 agents Kaku and Jabra while warning that losing concentration would dull his swords. His hand then accidentally entered one of the open cuffs that Sogeking had noticed nearby. Sogeking realized too late these were the seastone handcuffs meant to weaken Devil Fruit users and shouted at Zoro for putting them on him. Zoro demanded to know what Sogeking was doing as the cuff locked them together. The pair were immediately caught in Kaku's wide Rankyaku slash and sent tumbling while chained. In later scenes they remained linked and argued over ways to remove the cuffs, including absurd suggestions like rock-paper-scissors or cutting off a hand. ch. 402, p. 4 ch. 402, p. 5 ch. 406, p. 7
