I would like to discuss the matter of the Joy Boy and Void Century.

As I see it, the most confusing thing in it concerns the reasons why Joy Boy could have lost with all his crew having such tremendous powers as Nika, Haki and even weapons like the Pluton and Poseidon. I think that such outcome could not be possible simply because the 20 Kingdoms were stronger.

It could have been a terrible disease caused by the Great Kingdom's technology, such as nano-machines or some form of pollution.

There have been many cases in the series where powerful beings became helpless slaves to a sickness or a poison.

The examples concern not only humans but also the Shandians, Minks and even the samurai from Wano.

That is why I see the most probable reason for the fall of the Great Kingdom in the disease.

One of the possible explanations to the circumstances of the appearance of the Red Line and bubbles worn by the Celestial Dragons is that they were trying to protect themselves from something spreading right along with the mainland.

That would also explain their disdain towards the surface of the Earth.

Speaking of which, I think that in this theory, Joy Boy could have been not so happy about becoming the emperor and liberator of the World.

Suppose his plan actually didn't involve annihilating all peoples and kingdoms.

What if he saw his chance to get rid of the disease by changing the surface of the planet? For example, he could have used the ocean to dilute the toxins or even purify the waters.

That could be another reason why the 20 Kingdoms have betrayed him and later made him into the villain of their propaganda named Joy Boy the criminal.

Now, the most interesting part.

The one and only example of an attempt to heal the world or at least a part of it and save people from a terrible fate is the story about the doctor from Drum Island and the cherry blossoms.

It was not the beauty that the trees gifted to the city that made it a miracle place but the fact that it gave hope and a chance to live to those who were about to give up.

If I try to apply this to the Great Kingdom, I can only assume that Joy Boy could have been planning something similar on a much greater scale.

There is a possibility that he didn't want to destroy the world, and all he wanted was to heal it. I mean, not literally but free it from diseases, hatred and greed that make people savage towards each other.

It would also explain why the Ancient Weapons could have been necessary for his plan.

In case of Wano and pyrobloin, there was a possibility of using it to make some kind of gas that could span across the continents.

If I consider Uranus, it could have been involved in the process of distributing some medicine to cure the disease or even to make the world safe for humans, similar to how Sakura trees worked for the Drum Island.

It could have been a worldwide Sakura miracle that Joy Boy was going to provide, and that would make much more sense of why he has been called the Warrior of Liberation.

It could have not been his goal to become the strongest in the world and rule over the others but rather to heal and liberate them from a terrible disease or even the sickness of the heart.

I think that if we look at it in this way, the mystery around the name of the first Pirate King would rather become clearer.

It could have been the similar reason that made Roger choose the life he led and become Pirate Emperor, and it could have been that which connected Roger and the name Joy Boy, as well as Roger and Hiriluk.

It could have been the matter of following the will of the people who knew the truth and wanted to change the world.

It could have been the reason why the name Joy Boy and the story behind it have been passed from generation to generation with little information about it being known to most of them.

That is why I think that instead of trying to literally follow the path of the first Pirate King and the Pirate Emperor, we should rather attempt to discover the meaning behind another name, the name of Dr. Joy Boy.
