Chapter 105

The group stands together in the corridor. Gon asks, 'WHAT ARE WE DOING, THEN? THE SITUATION HAS COMPLETELY CHANGED.' Killua adds, 'YEAH! LIKE THAT GUY WE MET IN CELESTIAL TOWER!! ONE OF THEM MUST HAVE THE ABILITY TO DO THAT.' Leorio notes, 'KASTRO! HE WAS ABLE TO CREATE A DOUBLE OF HIMSELF.' Kurapika, still facing away, says, 'I DON'T LIKE IT AT ALL...' and then 'YES...' In a darker panel Kurapika thinks, 'DAMN... WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THIS SOONER...?! THERE'S A STRONG POSSIBILITY THAT ONE OF THEM USES MATERIALIZATION NEN.' Gon insists, 'YOU KNOW WE'RE PREPARED TO DO ANYTHING.' Kurapika answers, 'SO?' The four begin walking down the corridor together.

Kurapika answers a phone call in a hallway while a suited man and another figure stand nearby. "KURAPIKA, IT'S ME." "SENRITSU? WHAT'S THE MATTER?" A young woman with braids stands in a tiled corridor and says "HELLO ?" Kurapika reacts with surprise as a "tōō" sound effect appears. In close-up, Kurapika's eyes widen with a "!?" as he exclaims, "THE COMMUNITY CANCELLED THE SEARCH WARRANT ON THE REMAINING MEMBERS!!" The scene shifts to a luxurious room where Neon lies on a large bed listening to a radio. Narration explains: "THE GOD-FATHERS THEMSELVES ORDERED EVERY ACTION AGAINST THEM STOPPED. THEY DISCOVERED THAT THEY CAME FROM THE CITY OF THE SHOOTING STAR." Two men sit on a couch in the background, one with crossed arms.

Gon, Killua, and the braided-haired girl react with shock. "WHAT?!" "THE COMMUNITY HAS STOPPED THE PURSUIT." Hisoka stands nearby with a plant as the girl asks "HISOKA ?" Gon and Killua question the news: "EH?! BUT WHY?!" "THEY'VE ALSO CANCELLED THE REWARDS FOR THEM." Hisoka replies "NO. ONE OF MY WORK PARTNERS." A massive sound effect "HLLLAAAAAAA ZAAAAAAAAT" fills the panel. The group discusses the city: "I'VE HEARD THAT MORE THAN 10 MILLION PEOPLE LIVE THERE..." "HOWEVER, AFTER NUMEROUS CHANGES, IT HAS FINALLY BECOME A PLACE POLITICAL POWER HAS NO HOLD OVER." "THAT'S THE TITLE OF THE CITY OF THE ONES WHO DO NOT EXIST FOR SOCIETY." "IT'S HARD TO EXPLAIN." "OUR TRASH IS ANOTHER'S TREASURE..." Hisoka adds that the place is said to be the most populated in the world and mentions an act by a dictator to isolate some human species.

Gon and Killua stare in surprise as a woman with a star-shaped tattoo on her forehead speaks. "!?" Gon reacts sharply. The woman continues, "That help would come from the mafia community." In the next panels she explains, "The relations between the city of the Shooting Star and the community would have gotten better. However, the Ryodan, native of this town, managed to tilt the balance..." Killua looks confused and says, "Does that mean that the Ryodan belongs to the community...? I don't understand..." The woman replies, "Who better than someone who does not exist to commit a crime? The mafia recruits useful people there." She concludes, "The city of the different people... The Ryodan is probably a union of people even more different than the others."

Rain lashes a dark city skyline as a voice declares intent to predict futures. A hand holds out several sheets of paper while the speaker explains that each person must write their date of birth, blood type, and name. Another voice notes it may be possible to avoid the coming threat the same way they once helped Shizuku. In a crowded lower panel a small figure blurts “EX-CUSE ME?” while two others admit they do not know their own blood type or date of birth. At the bottom a stern man with facial scars studies one of the papers, a woman with her hair in a bun glances sideways, and a close-up shows a man with a teardrop tattoo staring silently.

Against a black background a long block of text describes a client with red eyes who will visit, half angel and half god of death, and how the secrets of the moons will be learned on the first of November. Another block warns that on a hot day the client’s help will allow the man of the reserved cross, the imposter April, to break away from the paper, leaving only six pages. A woman with short hair says “LET’S SEE IT.” and asks what to predict. In a lower panel a man with a star tattoo on his forehead and another with a cross on his shirt appear. A close-up shows narrowed eyes and the sound effect “GoGo”. At the very bottom a boy in a hoodie stands with arms crossed while a scarred man and a small figure look on.

A short-haired woman stares forward with a serious expression and says, "I INSIST." Beside her, a man with star and teardrop facial markings and a high-collared outfit marked with club and spade symbols replies, "YOU'D BE SURPRISED," followed by "IF I WERE YOU, I WOULDN'T." In the next panel the woman turns her head while the man holds up a sheet of paper and points to it, declaring "HERE, HERE." The woman’s face fills a panel with intense focus and radiating speed lines. The man leaps into action with motion lines, accompanied by the sound effects "tat tat" and "slat," while the woman runs toward a brick wall holding papers. A close-up shows a man with a cross marking on his forehead. At the bottom of the page the star-and-teardrop man sits in shadow, examining two small electronic devices that display "tac" as he manipulates them with his fingers.

The page is almost entirely blank white space. In the lower right corner a small panel shows a young person with short, spiky black hair, round glasses, and a dark high-collared garment. The character’s right hand is raised with palm facing forward and fingers slightly spread, while their eyes are wide and mouth is slightly open.
