WE'RE REALLY GOING TO MASADORA ?

Another box notes their inexperience prevents them from reading opponents' movements perfectly. Biscuit thinks, "AS I THOUGHT." A wide panel shows a swirling vortex around a large raw gem with bold text "RAW GEMS!!!" and narration pondering if the two learn that now.

In the next panel Genthru charges forward through flying rubble, arm extended. A close-up shows Genthru shielding his face with one arm while shouting YOW! as shards cut past him. The bottom panel erupts with a massive impact, Genthru recoiling violently amid flying rocks and dust, the huge onomatopoeia ドォッ dominating the foreground.

Genthru's eyes widen in shock as a voice exclaims 'HUH...'. In the next panel his face twists in pain with a sharp 'ARGH!'. The scene widens to show Genthru standing over Gon in the rocky wasteland, one hand gripping the boy's arm while Gon lies on the ground beside a small bird-like creature. Gon replies confidently, "BUT TOMORROW'S BETTER. SURE." Genthru threatens, "I'M GONNA CUT YOU INTO PIECES!" Later, Gon stands with hands on hips as narration states, "LATER, WE WON'T KNOW WHAT KIND OF ENEMY WE'LL HAVE TO FIGHT." Killua notes, "THAT'S TRUE. HE'S COMPLETELY EXHAUSTED, AND WE'RE BOTH GOING AT HIM." Genthru warns, "YOUR MOVEMENTS HAVE SLOWED DOWN CONSIDERABLY. IT'D BE BETTER FOR YOU IF YOU RESTED YOUR BODY."

High on a rocky cliff face, Gon wonders to himself why that thought comes to him now. Below, he and his spiky-haired opponent clash violently while sprinting across the uneven stone ground. Impact lines and motion blur mark their rapid exchanges as the opponent presses forward. Gon pulls ahead slightly. In a wide panel the opponent thinks that he was wrong—this guy's movements haven't really slowed down. Gon has gotten faster. A massive close-up of Gon's face fills the bottom of the page, surrounded by radiating lines. He realizes the difference between the force gained when fighting an enemy and the experience of fighting with your life at risk. So that's the difference.

The spiky-haired opponent continues to shout while running. He yells that Gon said this way was a short-cut and that is why he does not like going through these slums. In the next moment the opponent is shown lying flat on his back in the dirt, arms and legs splayed, covered in fresh wounds and dust. A small inset shows only Gon's eye and part of his face looking down at the fallen man. The opponent has been completely defeated.

A pair of wide, sweat-drenched eyes stare upward in anguish. The character thinks, 'I... I only...' and 'I didn't expect gratitude or anything...' A close-up reveals more sweat drops and a tense expression. The thought continues across a dark, textured panel: 'That's all!! I wanted to live.' The final panel shows a barren rocky landscape under a clear sky.

Ten days later, Biscuit sits on a rock formation with her chin resting on her hand, watching the scene below. A sudden powerful impact erupts with the sound effect 'HAA!!' and large motion lines as someone strikes. Gon stands with arms crossed and says 'It's fine already...' Killua is on his knees, head bowed, pleading 'Kill me...' and 'I don't have any chance of winning...' Gon watches silently from a short distance.

Gon beams with gratitude, sweat flying from his face as he shouts his thanks. "THANKS TO YOUR HELP, WE MADE GREAT PROGRESS!" he exclaims, then adds, "BINOLT-SAN, THANK YOU!" Binolt, still on his knees, responds with visible tension. "WILL YOU LET ME LEAVE GREED ISLAND UNDER THIS CONDITION?" he asks. Gon replies firmly, "WHEN I LEAVE GREED ISLAND... I'LL GIVE MYSELF UP." Binolt bows deeply, sweat dripping, and utters "OSU!!" as the impact lands. Biscuit, arms crossed in the shadows, orders, "GO AWAY." Later, Gon and Killua discuss the events. Gon says, "BUT HE TAUGHT US A LOT." Killua agrees, "YEAH." Biscuit questions from off-panel, "YOU KNOW HE'S A FIRST LEVEL SERIAL KILLER?" and notes, "THAT WAS YOUR PLAN ALL ALONG." In the final panel Gon smiles brightly and states, "THEREFORE, THERE'S DANGER." Biscuit answers with a serious expression, "YOU'RE FLAWLESS."
