Jaken = Janken!?

00
Biscuit stands with a confident smile, raising one finger as she explains the exercise. "STONE-BREAKING. SPECIFIC TYPE TRAINING FOR REINFORCEMENT TYPE, LEVEL 1." A rock hovers beside her. In the next panels she demonstrates the technique, smashing one stone against another with a loud impact. Gon and Killua watch from the rocky terrain. Biscuit continues, "YOU CLEAR THE LEVEL WHEN YOU CAN BREAK 1000 STONES WITH ONE STONE IN ONE DAY. IT CONSISTS OF BREAKING STONES USING ANOTHER STONE, LIKE THIS." The boys prepare to begin. In a dramatic close-up, Gon and Killua face each other with intense expressions as Biscuit shouts, "BEGIN!!" A large "1 !!" flashes between them.
01
Gon swings his stone and it shatters. "IT BROKE." "AH!" Biscuit warns, "YOU CAN USE ONLY ONE OF THESE EACH DAY. IT'S OVER WHEN THE STONE YOU'RE HOLDING BREAKS!" A massive impact graphic fills the panel. Later, Killua sits on a rock and announces, "189!" Gon replies, "I WAS ALREADY AT 150. SHIT..." Both boys look exhausted and covered in dust. Gon thinks to himself, "I CAN FEEL MYSELF LOSING PRECISION IN MY NEN. PUTTING 100% ATTACK AND DEFENSE AROUND THE STONE AT THE EXACT MOMENT OF IMPACT IS NOTHING IN ITSELF. BUT WITH THE REPETITION, YOUR MIND GETS TIRED QUICKLY, AND YOUR BODY SOON DOES THE SAME. THIS IS ACTUALLY HARD... USING SHU AND KOU TO STRENGTHEN THE HARDNESS OF THE STONE."
02
Gon sits on the ground looking frustrated after failing his exercise, shouting 'SHIT! I FAILED.' and 'OVER GAME'. Nearby, Killua reacts with a pained 'ERGH!' as impact lines surround him. Biscuit, with her hair in a high ponytail, turns and addresses the boys. She explains that students usually need weeks to reach 100 repetitions and warns against neglecting basic training because only one specific type can be trained per day. She tells Gon not to be hasty and suggests they train for the transformation type. Biscuit suddenly brightens and calls out 'BINGO-!' while raising a finger. In the rocky area, Gon and Killua begin running as small spheres scatter around them. The scene shifts to Gon and Killua facing each other for a game of janken. Gon proposes settling it with janken, Killua complains that ties are boring, and they note that the repeated ties show they have both reached a good level in gyo. The round ends in another tie, with Killua asking 'AGAIN?' and someone declaring 'A TIE.'
03
The janken match begins with Gon shouting 'JAN KEN PON!' and Killua responding 'ALL RIGHT! GO!!'. Biscuit asks if Gon really wants to defy the reigning monthly janken champion, while Killua warns that the loser must do 500 push-ups and sit-ups. Biscuit calls out the janken sequence 'AIKO DE PON!' and 'JAN KEN PON!!'. Gon performs a powerful fist strike into the ground, yelling 'SHIT' as he loses the round. He then celebrates wildly with both arms raised, declaring 'I WON'. Killua lies face-down in the dirt saying 'NOPE.' Biscuit asks the boys if they know the origin of janken from ancient martial arts. In a series of close-up panels, she demonstrates the three hand signs: fist for 'KEN' or 'FIST' representing rock or 'GUU', two fingers for 'SHI' or 'FINGERS' representing scissors or 'CHOKI', and open palm for 'SHOU' or 'FLAT OF HAND' representing paper or 'PAA'.
04
Panels illustrate the effects of advanced martial arts techniques. A fist strikes with explosive force as text explains that "KEN" is for causing external damage. Close-ups show precise finger strikes to the eyes and face while noting that "SHI" is used to attack specific body parts. A silhouetted figure demonstrates a strike to the torso, with the caption stating that "SHOU" is used to harm the inner organs. In a wooden training hall, two martial artists practice as narration reveals the etymology of "JANKEN," said to originate from "JAKEN" practitioners of the distant past who were banned for pursuing only destruction yet continued training under the disguise of playing games. Biscuit, ponytail bouncing, clenches her fist and exclaims with realization. Gon leaps forward with arm raised high, shouting in surprise. A dramatic close-up captures Gon’s intense face and glowing fist as he yells "JA-KEN" with the note "FIST OF EVIL." In a rocky clearing, Gon stands facing Biscuit, who turns toward him as a speech bubble calls out "GON?"
05
A vast starry night sky fills the top of the page. On a moonlit beach, a tall man in a tracksuit stands with hands at his sides while a large man in an open robe grins nearby. In the background, a white-haired figure, a small boy, and two girls including one with long flowing hair walk along the shore. A speech bubble from the group questions whether they can suck off the water with "Dame?" The tall man in the tracksuit looks ahead and remarks that he wonders what part of the island this is. A dark silhouette appears in the lower panel as another character suggests using "ACCOMPANY" to go somewhere.

Under a star-filled night sky, a lone silhouette stands on the dark, windswept beach. A group of visitors faces several figures. A tall hooded man with a stern face speaks first: "GREETINGS. IT'S BEEN MANY YEARS SINCE VISITORS HAVE BEEN HERE." In the foreground, a large muscular man with spiky black hair and a broad grin reassures them, "DON'T WORRY." Farther down the shore, several small figures stand in the surf and sand. One says, "THERE'S NO WAY YOU CAN REACH THE ISLAND IF YOU JUST FOLLOW THE CURRENTS OR THE TIDE." Another adds, "JUST TO BE SURE, YOU DIDN'T END UP STRANDED HERE BY CHANCE, RIGHT?" A tall man with wild hair stands with his back partly turned, observing the exchange.

Laser smiles with eyes closed and introduces himself: "MY NAME IS LASER. I'M ONE OF THE CREATORS OF THIS GAME." A blond man reacts with surprise, thinking "THIS GUY IS STRONG" while asking "WHO ARE YOU?" and "WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE? GIVING DIRECTIONS?" Laser continues, explaining his role: "MY DUTY IS MAINLY TAKING CARE OF THE EMISSION TYPE SYSTEM." He notes movement or intruder countermeasures and mentions spell-powered elements. A bright panel shows shocked reactions from the group. Laser then holds up a card labeled "003 ELIMINATE RULER ONLY," stating it is a game-master-only spell that teleports illegal entrants to a random point on the Aijien continent. He adds, "SINCE YOU'RE NOT PLAYING BY THE RULES... I'M SORRY, BUT I HAVE TO THROW YOU OUT."

Hisoka holds a phone to his ear with a stern expression as the word BAKI... appears beside him. A smiling man with slicked-back hair speaks confidently: "IF YOU PLAY LONG ENOUGH, WE'LL SURELY GET A CHANCE TO FIGHT SOMETIME." Beside him, the spiky-haired man points upward and adds, "BY THE WAY, IF YOU BEAT ME, YOU'LL ALSO GET AN ITEM. YOU ARE WELCOME TO COME BACK BY THE NORMAL METHOD." A close-up shows a hand gripping a striped card labeled "ELIMINATE ON!" The spiky-haired man, now in profile, declares, "BY THE MAIN ENTRANCE. THAT'S FINE. WE'LL BE BACK." In a dramatic wide panel the spiky-haired man sprints down a long corridor toward a jagged cave entrance as massive black SFX explode across the scene. At the bottom of the page the spiky-haired man stands with his back to the viewer, gazing across open water at a distant boat. The smiling man stands nearby with arms crossed and remarks, "THAT WAS A BUNCH OF IMPRESSIVE PEOPLE. HMM |"

Two small panels show the spiky-haired man from behind as he tosses a small round object high into the air with both hands. In a bright flash panel the smiling man catches the glowing sphere in his outstretched palm while the word "パァ" bursts around it. The smiling man grins widely with eyes closed as intense light radiates outward. A massive close-up reveals the sphere expanding dramatically with motion lines and impact effects. The spiky-haired man is seen running along the shoreline at night as the enormous glowing ball hurtles toward the water. A huge explosion erupts on the surface with the massive SFX "ドォーン" and flying debris while the smiling man remains in the foreground still smiling.

Gon perches on a jagged rock formation in a barren rocky landscape, his body tense and focused. A small distant figure stands near a large boulder in the background. Glowing energy radiates from his clenched fists as he declares, "START WITH THE..." followed by the repeated sound "GU GU GU:". The scene shifts to a dramatic close-up of Gon's intense face and raised fist with the onomatopoeia "JAZ!". In the next panel Gon appears mid-motion with a determined expression, labeled "FIST" beside vertical dots. He then crosses his arms powerfully while shouting "KEN!!" as motion lines and impact effects burst around him.
11
A massive explosion of force erupts outward in chaotic black lines, dust clouds, and debris. Gon is hurled backward through the blast, body twisted by the recoil, one arm extended. The powerful sound effect "GUU !!!" dominates the right side of the page amid radiating impact spikes and motion blur.
12
Gon leaps forward through a narrow rocky canyon, right fist thrust high as massive stone walls blur past. Shattered rocks explode outward from the sheer force of his movement, radiating lines emphasizing his speed and power. In the lower panels Biscuit stands with hands clasped, saying "I SEE." Killua reacts with wide eyes and an open mouth, exclaiming "OH !" Gon plants his stance and declares "START WITH THE... FIST!" while a large SFX "ギイイン" erupts beside him. He immediately follows with "NEXT!" as the view shifts to intense close-ups: Biscuit's shocked face, Gon's determined glare, and sharp impact effects labeled "PAA I !!!", "KEN !!", and "JAN !" with motion lines and starburst flashes.
13
Killua appears in extreme close-up, hair flaring wildly with intense eyes and an outstretched hand pushing forward amid heavy speed lines. The scene shifts to a wide shot inside the canyon where Gon assumes a low stance, both hands extended as two glowing Nen orbs form—one large and one smaller—while Biscuit and Killua watch from the background. A map of the AIJEN CONTINENT is displayed with arrows and an oval marker. Biscuit's speech bubble reads "BISK, HOW CAN YOU MAKE NEN FLY?" while another bubble states "TRAINING!" as Gon continues his exercise.
14
Biscuit stands alone against the empty white space, her head tilted slightly as she gazes upward. A small, gentle smile curves her lips. Her spiky hair is pulled into a high ponytail tied with a dark ribbon, strands flowing behind her. The young girl’s large dark eyes are focused on something above, her expression calm and faintly amused.
