Killua repeats the hand signs with renewed energy, shouting KEN!! JAN!! while forming a fist. A bright flash erupts from a small flag planted on a rock as he leaps back with a triumphant grin. A single leaf drifts down beside the flag. Biscuit appears beside Gon, both watching the glowing result. Gon asks if this is Biscuit's first time doing it. Biscuit raises her arms and cheers YEAH! I DID IT! Killua's hand is shown extended toward a starburst effect on a black background, confirming the successful activation.

Gon stands in the forest clearing facing Biscuit and Killua. Biscuit questions whether Gon always makes a speech before attacking. Gon admits his success rate is one-in-ten and wonders if he should skip the speech next time. Biscuit explains that an opponent would understand right away and have time to prepare. Gon looks confused, asking if it would look like a secret attack. Biscuit decides to keep talking while Gon parries any attack. She asks what Gon will do if the opponent attacks while she is talking. Gon replies that of course the opponent has some stuff to perfect, but it seems to motivate him a lot. Biscuit wonders if Gon is sure he is up to scratch. Gon begins charging forward with his fist, declaring they will start with the fist. Biscuit states there are three possibilities: close-range attack (rock), half-distance attack (scissors), and remote attack (paper). She believes it is useless to force Gon to do something he does not want to do.

Gon stands in a powerful pose with one arm extended forward, declaring that if he perfects it all, it will be a formidable weapon. Biscuit and Killua watch from the background. In a close-up, Biscuit tells Gon she chose this technique. Killua asks Gon if he thought of a lot of things but wonders about him. Biscuit states that Gon will have a very good weapon too. She adds that she sees electricity combined with this as a very good idea. Gon sits on the ground looking surprised, saying "OH." Biscuit, sitting with knees up, replies that she has a lot of techniques she is still studying. Killua asks if that is not it.

Biscuit leans forward with a bright smile and declares, "BUT ABOUT STARTING THE GAME!" She quickly adds, "I'M NOT TALKING ABOUT STARTING EXERCISES," while Gon and Killua stare in surprise from the side panel. In the forest clearing Biscuit continues, "WE'LL BE ABLE TO START NOW," and "YOU'VE PUT IN A LOT OF EFFORT UP UNTIL NOW." Killua raises his hand and shouts, "YEAH! FIRST, THE BASICS." The scene shifts to a massive ancient tree whose trunk erupts in a violent cloud of dust and splintered bark. At the base stand Biscuit, Gon, and Killua looking up while a muscular man with a large hammer stands ready. He asks, "SO? IT'S BIG, HUH?"

An elderly man with a pipe explains the method: "YOU HAVE TO SHAKE THE TREE AT THE ONLY TIME HE APPEARS, THE END OF THE DAY." He adds that the insect stays in its hole and is very rare. A panel shows the giant tree standing alone in the field. Gon and Killua react with surprise while the old man continues, "IT'S A VIDEO GAME, IT'S NORMAL." The hammer-wielding man swings his tool at the trunk and shouts, "THAT'S THE POINT! YOU HAVE TO HIT!" He warns that moving with little force will result in death. Biscuit asks if she can borrow the hammer and the man agrees. She then states there are no enemies here. The old man laughs, "HAHAHA! DON'T FORGET THAT THOUSANDS HAVE TRIED TO CATCH IT!" Killua replies, "THAT'S QUITE A FEW."

Gon focuses intently and declares his intent to begin training with his fist. "FIST!" he shouts. "START WITH THE..." A small exclamation mark appears as he stares forward. In the forest clearing, Gon stands before a massive tree while Killua, Biscuit, and the curly-haired man watch from a distance. Gon then activates a heavy training apparatus, swinging a gigantic iron ball on a chain with powerful force. The ball smashes into the machine with a loud "ズズズ" impact. From the side, Killua watches with a tense expression. In a dramatic close-up, Gon unleashes a blazing punch forward, yelling "KEN JAN!!" as a brilliant white flash erupts from his fist.

The massive impact creates a violent explosion of force. Gon is hurled backward through the air amid swirling debris and motion lines as the sound effect "GUU" echoes. In the aftermath, thick smoke and dust fill the clearing. The curly-haired man stands protectively with arms raised, while Killua, Biscuit, and the others react with shock. Several exclamation marks indicate their alarm at the sudden blast. The group remains gathered near the damaged training site as the dust settles.

Gon and Biscuit stand in an open field staring upward as strange rattling sounds fill the air. A massive tree looms in the distance. Suddenly a torrent of insects pours from the sky, beetles and caterpillars tumbling everywhere. Gon shouts in surprise while Biscuit watches the swarm. A huge stag beetle lands nearby. The bearded man with the pipe grabs it and declares, "KING WHITE OOKU-WAGATA !!" He points out another one and notes there are many beetles and caterpillars. Gon and Biscuit react with excitement, amazed by the sheer number falling around them.

The bearded man with the pipe explains he has never seen anyone catch three of the insects with one punch before. Gon wonders why the tree was not damaged. The man holds up three cards labeled King White Ooku-Wagata, revealing the card's description about the legendary insect. Gon realizes only seven people have obtained this card. Biscuit suggests they take more since they are already here. The man replies that it will get them money if they trade them. A large "DO … N … !!" sound effect echoes as the group stands in the forest.

At the entrance of a grand mansion, a suited man warns the group that only a limited number of people may enter and that the young girl they seek is shut inside. He states that anyone attempting to enter illegally will die before reaching her room due to extremely dangerous traps. Gon, Killua, and Biscuit react with surprise to his calm delivery. Biscuit notes the other seven people who took the card probably had the same thoughts. Gon suggests moving to the next card. In a later panel, Biscuit reveals she found the young girl in a hidden room in the fourth basement, noting the traps. The group examines the card labeled 'GOLD POWDER YOUNG GIRL A-13' which describes a shy girl who produces gold powder from her body, allowing the user to gain 500g of gold daily. Gon excitedly declares she is in the F category in the binder. The suited man suddenly shouts in alarm that it won't end like this.

Killua explains that with his appearance the other players lower their guards and he has plenty of time for training thanks to his sources. Biscuit mentions she would like to come back but lacks even one card for trading. They decide their next destination is the gambling city Dorias to obtain three new cards, planning to head south of the tree at the starting point. Gon and Killua notice it is the monthly tournament at Anto-Kiba. Biscuit confirms they have plenty of defensive cards and they are close to town. The scene shifts to an arena stage where Gon and Killua stand together as the Killua-Gon pair is announced as champions, with Biscuit holding a microphone beside them amid cheering spectators.

A massive starburst panel reveals the Knight Necklace card, number 84, with the description that it can protect the holder from spells and dismiss the curse of a touched card. The group has obtained it. A bearded man with a topknot explains that if cards have fake effects, they return to normal forms, and the player holding this item receives the effects of Reflection. Gon and Killua discuss checking a trade shop to learn the spells of the cards they own, though Killua admits he does not fully understand the explanation. Gon and Killua face each other closely as Gon asks if the card can only be acquired once a year. The bearded man confirms it is the prize of the monthly tournament. Outside a domed building, Gon excitedly declares they do not have to worry about the card being stolen if they materialize it. Biscuit tells the two boys to look more closely at the card while an unseen figure reacts with a question mark.

Killua reads a memo about using compromise and corruption effects. He questions why a card acquired only once a year is level D. Biscuit notes that the conditions allow multiple uses if fulfilled. The group stands inside a shop with large windows as Killua declares the get level is D. A close-up shows Killua wearing the Knight Necklace around his neck, smiling confidently against a black background. In a triumphant splash panel, Gon, Killua, and Biscuit raise their arms and cheer, deciding to head to the Gamble Town, Dorias, with no more fears.
