Beginning of the Training

In a spacious traditional Japanese-style room, Gon stands facing a man with glasses while Killua watches from the side. The man with glasses points toward the window and declares, 'FROM NOW ON, YOU'LL TRAIN WITH ZUSHI.' Gon replies 'FINE.' The man continues, 'GON, YOU KEPT YOUR PROMISE DURING THOSE TWO MONTHS, DIDN'T YOU?' Close-up panels show a hand wearing a ring on the middle finger with the narration 'IT CALMED ME.' Gon reflects, 'BUT EACH TIME, I LOOKED AT THE STRING...' and 'IN FACT, I'VE BEEN TEMPTED SEVERAL TIMES.' He concludes with a smile, 'IT'S THANKS TO THE STRING.' Earlier panels establish the setting with a long hallway labeled 'GON.' and a rooftop view labeled 'KILLUA.'

Gon and Killua stand facing a man with glasses in a room with vertical bars. Gon reacts with surprise as the man speaks calmly. "He could have said whatever he wanted," Gon says. "But how do you know he kept his promise?" Killua asks. The man replies with a slight smile, "No, I'm kidding." Gon stares in shock, "What? Really?" The man explains, "It's because I put my Nen in it." In a close-up the man addresses Gon directly, "I know it's been a long time, but can you show us your Nen? Only because the string isn't cut." Gon answers softly, "Yes." The man asks, "I can?" In smaller panels Gon looks thoughtful, "Hm ~ Will I do it correctly?" He stands ready, declaring, "It's really been a long time." Gon clenches a fist, "Damn! I don't know if I can do it," with a small "TAC" sound effect as he prepares.

Gon stands alone on a dark circular platform marked with concentric rings. His body is enveloped in a bright, wavering aura that flares outward. Large stylized text "SHUUUUU" and "LOOO!!" burst across the panel as the aura expands. Gon closes his eyes, focused, with his spiky hair highlighted by the energy. Nearby, Killua watches with wide eyes and a sweat drop, while the man with glasses observes quietly from the side. The aura glows intensely around Gon's legs and torso, lifting slightly at the edges.

Gon stands confidently with his aura flaring around him. Silently and with softness, his aura is stable and flows fluidly over his entire body. Zushi watches from the side as Killua asks what he thinks. Gon smiles brightly and declares he did it, relieved he had not forgotten the feeling. Wing, the bespectacled instructor, explains that the aura now moves faster and more naturally than before because Gon rested properly after training. He then asks Gon to show his left hand. Gon complies, revealing the hand now twisted into an unnatural shape. Wing notes that even scraping or bathing did not break it, yet it remains oddly deformed. Gon stares in shock as a bright aura bursts from the fingertip, prompting exclamations of surprise.

Wing raises his index finger and thanks his own Nen for tying the hand so it would break if misused. In the hallway, Killua asks what Hisoka’s Nen is, and Wing confirms he saw the match between Hisoka and Kastro. Gon and Killua react with surprise at the possibility. Wing suggests they go stage by stage because the questions are difficult. He then holds up a VHS tape, stating they will watch the recorded match and he will explain everything. Gon protests that he was waiting for their agreement, but Wing insists they proceed.

Leorio holds the remote and asks 'SO?' while watching the arena screen. On the broadcast, Hisoka raises his arm high as fragments scatter and a powerful aura effect erupts around him, prompting an excited crowd reaction of 'OOOOOH'. Gon and Killua stare in confusion, with Gon shouting 'I DON'T UNDERSTAND ANYTHING!' and Killua replying 'NO...!'. The view shifts to Hisoka extending his left arm forward as aura wires become visible. Leorio explains that the wires are coming out of Hisoka's left arm and questions whether the opponent can truly see them. He continues that to counter this they can use a concentration of Ren on the sight, noting that thanks to the In even a very strong aura from the opponent will go unfelt. Hisoka employs a technique that renders his aura imperceptible. Leorio adds that while it prevents any counter-attack and they only have one life, it may be possible with the technique Gon used before in his match versus Guido. The high-level application of Ren is called the 'In'.

Leorio leans forward with intense focus, pointing directly ahead and asking Gon and Killua if they are going to try to see the In of Hisoka working on the Ren. He poses the first question: what is the force that Hisoka uses? Gon and Killua look at each other with puzzled expressions. Leorio continues that they will have to find the answer by themselves. The spiky-haired boy with a bandage on his cheek wonders aloud what he should do, while the black-haired boy mutters 'BOTH OF US...?'. Gon and Killua remain silent and thoughtful. Leorio tells the boy named Zushi that he knows enough to understand the In of Hisoka. From behind, a silhouetted figure states that Zushi is going to show them his Ren, with a tall tower visible against the city skyline in the distance.

In a dark arena, Kastro sits in meditation with intense focus, his eyes narrowed and aura faintly visible around him. Below, Gon and Killua watch from the stands. Suddenly Kastro unleashes a powerful burst of aura, shouting 'HA!' as the energy explodes outward. The impact sends debris flying with a massive 'DOOM' effect. Kastro stands in a low stance, body glowing with Ren, sweat on his face and bandages visible. Gon and Killua stare up in shock, eyes wide and mouths open.

Gon shouts 'RIGHT!' while urging concentration on aura sight. Kastro's aura flares to maximum power with dramatic 'ZOON' and impact effects. A close-up shows Kastro's face covered in sweat and aura flames as he strains. In a control room, a man with glasses points at a monitor displaying Hisoka's body and says the aura is visible on screen. He confirms with 'Ok.' and the observer replies 'YES...!' as Hisoka's aura is highlighted with 'GYO !!!'. Kastro sits in a final focused pose.

Zushi trains intensely on the wooden floor, his body glowing with aura as he focuses his Gyo. "I really saw it," he exclaims amid bursts of effort. "Ah! Ah!" "Thank you so much, master!" he cries while Wing watches approvingly from the side. "You made great progress, Zushi," Wing says with a slight smile, raising a finger. "But you're on the right path. Almost!" Nearby, a spectator wonders aloud, "How many lines is it split into?" "13... I think..." comes the reply. Wing's feet shift as he continues the lesson. "If you keep training this way, you'll be able to fight while using the Gyo," he explains. "No, all your energy must be concentrated in the Gyo, and finally, thanks to this, you'll have the sufficient level to counter the in of Hisoka." In the next panel Wing stands before the group. "Then you'll have the answer to the question you asked me," he tells them. "You understand, don't you? Work on your Ren, and learn the Gyo." A hand clicks a remote. "Because you can't hope to be the winner in a fight without understanding what your opponent is able to do," Wing states. "The Gyo is a classic process in a fight against an unknown opponent." At the bottom, Gon, Zushi, and Killua look up as Wing leans in close. "There are two answers: yes or no," he says. "Concerning the second question you asked me: will you be able to do the same thing he did..."

Wing continues his explanation with a raised finger. "However, the probability of reaching it isn't 100%," he warns. "Hisoka's abilities come from the use of Nen, someone who would use it in the same way would reach the same result," he adds. In a dramatic full-body pose, Wing stands before a torn poster-covered wall. "Each has different tastes and skills, it's the same for Nen: there are as many different types of Nen as there are different people," he declares. "The force of Nen strongly depends on the character of the one who uses it." He continues, "Because of these different types of Nen, supposing that Hisoka trained for five years to master his own, I might train ten years before I succeed, or I may never reach it." Gon, Zushi, and Killua listen intently from below. "The most important thing is to discover your own personal arrangement!" Wing concludes. "If you want to increase the skills of your Nen, you must not copy that of someone else," he advises the three boys.

Killua stares at a large world map covered in skull markings and notes, surrounded by floating heads. Thought bubbles drift above him: "WHERE DO I WANNA GO? WITH WHOM? WHAT TO DO THERE?" and "WHAT AM I THINK ABOUT? WHAT AM I AFRAID OF? WHAT DO I LIKE? WHAT DO I WANT?" He concludes, "OUR OWN PERSONAL ARRANGEMENT ..." A large central bubble declares, "ALL THESE QUESTIONS WILL GIVE A FORM TO YOUR NEN!" In the training room, Wing stands with hands clasped behind his head as radiant energy lines burst outward. He tells the three seated children, "AND USE THE SAME ENERGY TO HAVE FUN, TO MAKE YOUR LIFE AGREEABLE." "IT'S THE GOAL OF YOUR TRAINING. INVEST YOURSELF COMPLETELY IN THIS PRACTICE." To Gon he adds, "YOUR GROWTH, PHYSICAL AND SPIRITUAL ISN'T OVER YET." "DO ALL YOU CAN TO GROW AND INCREASE YOUR QUALITIES." Gon, Killua, and the third boy shout together in a jagged starburst, "OKAY!"

Gon speaks first in the darkened panel: "UM... IT'S BEEN TWO MONTHS SINCE I CONFRONTED GUIDO, SO..." A large bubble asks, "DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH TIME THERE IS BEFORE THE NEXT MATCH?" Killua answers, "GON." In the next row the bespectacled man tells Gon, "REGISTER THE LAST DAY." Gon replies, "IF YOU AGREE..." The man continues, "I BEGAN ONE DAY BEFORE, SO I ONLY HAVE 27 DAYS LEFT." He asks Killua, "AND YOU, KILLUA?" Killua answers, "IN THAT CASE, I STILL HAVE 28 DAYS LEFT." The man concludes, "PRECISELY 62 DAYS." He then addresses Gon directly: "AND YOU, GON, ON THE 10TH." To Killua he says, "KILLUA, YOU'LL FIGHT ON THE 9TH OF JUNE." In the final panel a crowd watches as a woman with a headband shouts, "UNTIL THEN, YOU'LL MASTER GYO!!" while two men chant "BROLLIHA BROLLIHA."

The group walks through the bustling hallway of the arena tower. A voice calls out from behind, 'WHILE WE WERE RESTING, YOU CAUGHT US UP.' Another replies, 'WELL, YOU SURPRISED ME.' Gon turns with a bright smile while Killua looks back with a neutral expression. 'WHAT IF WE CONTINUE THE TRAINING FROM A WHILE AGO?' Gon asks. 'I'M STILL AN APPRENTICE OF THE 90TH FLOOR.' 'NO, NO.' The curly-haired boy answers. 'YEAH, LET'S GO TO MY PLACE.' Gon suggests. They reach the elevator marked with a large sign reading '200 ..... 2'. 'WE HAVE VISITORS...' Killua notes with a serious look. 'YES!' the curly-haired boy exclaims. 'KILLUA, ZUSHI!' someone shouts as the elevator doors open with a 'VIIIIIIIN' sound. Gon and the others step inside the lift.

The elevator ascends through the tower corridor. Gon, Killua, and the curly-haired boy stand on the upper ledge while three figures wait below. A blond man in a formal suit smiles with eyes closed. Beside him stands a masked figure wearing a pointed hat and gas mask. To the right, a spiky-haired fighter with a blindfold and headphones leans against the wall. The blond man speaks, 'BECAUSE WE'D LIKE TO BE YOUR OPPONENTS.' The masked figure adds, 'DON'T BE SO UNPLEASANT, WE WANT TO KNOW WHEN YOU'RE GONNA FIGHT.' The blindfolded fighter says, 'THIS ISN'T GONNA MAKE US APPRECIATE YOU.' Gon and Killua stare down from above with serious expressions. 'YOU'RE UPSETTING.' the blindfolded man concludes. A small 'DONG' sound echoes in the corridor.

Hisoka stands with a calm smile, addressing the group directly. "SO CONFRONT US!" he declares. He continues, noting their concern: "WE WERE WORRIED THE CLOSING DATE FOR REGISTERING IS NEAR." Explaining the opponents' strategy, he adds, "A PRIORI, THEIR TRICK IS TO FIGHT THE NEW-COMERS. YOU'VE ALREADY CONFRONTED THE ONE IN THE MIDDLE, HAVEN'T YOU? ALL THREE ARE IN THE GROUP OF THE 200TH FLOOR. THEY WANT TO FIGHT AGAINST US TO COLLECT VICTORIES." A close-up of Hisoka's intense eye appears as he says, "HERE. AND TO THANK YOU, I'LL SHOW YOU A SAMPLE OF MY SKILLS." In a sudden burst of aura, Hisoka unleashes a powerful display marked by sharp SFX "ZAT" and "HI" as Gon and Killua react with surprise. Hisoka's full figure radiates energy with large "ZOOOO" and "ズズズ!" effects. Killua shouts, "EH, GON!" while Hisoka states, "I FIGHT ON THE 10TH OF JUNE." In a close-up, Hisoka smiles slyly and concludes, "BUT THAT'S NOT OKAY WITH ME. I SEE, TIL THE LAST DAY OF THE PREPARATION TIME."

Hisoka turns his head slightly and promises Gon, "I'LL FIGHT AGAINST YOU, YOU CAN BE SURE OF THAT. GON." He adds his own limitation: "I CAN'T FIGHT AFTER THE 29TH OF MAY." When questioned about the restriction, Hisoka replies with a faint smile, "IF YOU'RE WONDERING, WE DON'T CARE." Killua suggests, "LET'S LEAVE." The scene shifts to a long hallway where Hisoka watches the three boys walking away down the tiled corridor. In a final close-up, Hisoka's eyes remain closed in a knowing expression as the curly-haired boy affirms, "YES, THAT'S SURE."
