Catarina Devon of the Blackbeard Pirates reveals she has Absalom's corpse after impersonating him. ch. 925, p. 7 Devon states they could not let him snoop around and offers the corpse to Moria. ch. 925, p. 7 Blackbeard laughs in the background but issues no statement about the killing. ch. 925, p. 8 No source describes Teach committing the act himself.
The manga never states that Blackbeard killed Absalom directly.
