One Piece Chapter 111: Secret Criminal Organization

Igaram, with his distinctive curly hair, lies on the ground, heavily injured and coughing up blood. "B... BIRRION- COUGH," he sputters, while a voice nearby sings "MA MA MAA~". Zoro and Nami stand nearby. Nami asks, "Weren't you out cold from all the booze?" Zoro, looking annoyed, replies, "I was only pretending to be drunk. I could've drunk a lot more if I wanted to. In a town that welcomes pirates. Talk about suspicious. Oh please.... How could I just drink and let my guard down." In the background, Luffy is seen sleeping soundly on the ground with a snot bubble, snoring loudly. Nami leans in with a greedy, wide smile, her eyes sparkling with anticipation. "So... how about it? Can you guarantee us a reward of 1 billion Beli, Mr. Head-of-the-Royal-Guard? Need I remind you that without our help... your precious princess might die, you know?"

Nami sits comfortably on top of the injured Igaram, smiling down at him. "Are you saying that the princess of your kingdom is worth less than a billion Beli?" Igaram sweats nervously, "I... I'm afraid I can't guarantee such an astronomical sum since I'm merely a single soldier...!" Zoro watches them, commenting dryly, "Talk about an extortion." Nami simply demands, "PAY UP." Igaram coughs and proposes a desperate solution, "Cough... In that case, you can directly negotiate with her yourself, and receive that much money...! I'm sure that as long as you return the princess safely back to our lands," Nami interrupts, "So basically, you're telling us to save her first..." Igaram yells in desperation, "THERE'S NO TIME FOR NEGOTIATING! EVEN NOW, AS WE SPEAK, THE PRINCESS' LIFE IS IN DANGER!" Nami stands up, looking satisfied with the arrangement. "Fine, fine. We'll save your little princess first."

Nami turns to Zoro and shouts authoritatively, "ALRIGHT THEN! GO, ZORO!" Zoro furiously yells back, "WHY SHOULD I GO!? WHY DO I HAVE TO HELP YOU WITH YOUR DIRTY MONEY-MAKING SCHEMES!?" Nami points at him, "Oh, don't be so stupid, you. My money may be mine alone but a contract I make is a contract for our whole crew!" Zoro retorts angrily, "WHAT KIND OF RETARDED UNFAIR LOGIC IS THAT!? HOW OLD ARE YOU!?" Nami brushes it off, "What's the big fuss! All I'm asking you is to go and cut up a few bad guys!" Zoro crosses his arms stubbornly, "Well, I hate being used by others! I'm not a tool like that idiot cook!" Meanwhile, Luffy sleepwalks past them, his stomach bloated, muttering, "Gotta pee." Nami smirks mockingly at Zoro, "Oh, I get it. You're only saying that because you don't think you can win, right?" Zoro glares at her, "WHAT DID YOU SAY!? I DARE YOU TO SAY THAT AGAIN!" Nami repeats with a smile, "You're only saying that because you don't think you can win, right?" Zoro fumes, "OH YOU DID NOT JUST SAY THAT AGAIN!"

Nami smiles slyly at Zoro. "Aren't you forgetting something? You know you still owe me, right?" Zoro looks confused. "Huh? No I don't." Nami reminds him, "Back at Loguetown, I lent you 100,000 Beli so you could buy your swords." Zoro argues back, "Yeah and I paid you back right away! I got my swords for free so I didn't use any of your money." A flashback shows Nami handing Zoro money, saying, "Sure, I'll lend you some money. At 300% interest, though." Zoro had replied, "I gotta buy something." Back in the present, Nami says, "Yes, but I lent you that money on 300% interest! So you still owe me 200,000 Beli!" Zoro is shocked. "But you got your money back right away so isn't it fine?" Nami bluntly replies, "No." Zoro exclaims, "Wha!" Nami's expression turns serious and intimidating. "Are you saying, that you can't even keep a single promise?" Nami then offers a deal, "Now if you do as I say, we'll call it even, okay?" Zoro is shown gritting his teeth in absolute anger and defeat.

Zoro runs off into the town streets, his swords at his side, yelling back angrily at Nami, "DAMN YOU! YOU'RE NOT GOING TO HAVE A PEACEFUL DEATH, Y'HEAR!" Nami simply smiles pleasantly and waves him off, replying, "True, I'll probably go to hell when I die." Meanwhile, Igaram, still lying heavily injured on the ground, cries out in frustration, "Curse my uselessness!" He pounds the ground, tears in his eyes. "If I were only stronger... I could protect the princess...!" Nami looks down at him and reassures him confidently, "Don't worry. That guy just now is monstrously strong." Igaram looks up, his face filled with desperation and loyalty. "If anything were to happen to the princess... THEN IT WOULD BE THE END OF OUR KINGDOM...! SHE MUST SURVIVE NO MATTER WHAT!"

A massive explosion rocks the town of Whisky Peak, sending a huge plume of smoke and debris flying high into the night air above the buildings. Nefertari Vivi, riding on the back of her giant spot-billed duck Karoo, spots her target through the streets. "I've found her! Faster, Carue!" she urges. Karoo quacks loudly and sprints forward with all his might. Vivi points ahead towards the edge of the island, "There's a docked ship behind Cactus Rock that we can escape on!" Down in the streets below, Mr. 5 and Miss Valentine watch their desperate escape attempt. Miss Valentine sits casually on a wooden crate, laughing mockingly, "KYAHA HAHA!" Mr. 5, wearing a dark trench coat with a large '5' on it, remarks calmly and coldly, "Such a futile struggle."

Vivi and Karoo are suddenly stopped in their tracks as a large, imposing figure steps into their path in the narrow street. Vivi gasps in surprise, "MS. MONDAY!" Miss Monday, a heavily muscular woman wearing a checkered dress and a flower necklace, stands firmly holding a massive wooden beam over her shoulder. She looks back at Vivi with a determined expression and says, "Go on! Get past here and you should be able to escape on the boat." Miss Monday then turns her attention forward, glaring down at Mr. 5 and Miss Valentine, who are slowly approaching them. "As for these guys, I'll do my best to stop them," she declares bravely. Vivi hesitates, worried for her friend, "But..."

Miss Monday stands her ground firmly, telling Vivi, "Because of that superhuman swordsman, we'd all be punished for failing in our mission anyways. So if that's the case, I'd rather go down while protecting a friend...!" Vivi looks deeply moved by her sacrifice and shouts, "Thank you!" as she and Karoo quickly run past her to escape. Miss Monday yells after them, "NOW GO!" Miss Valentine watches this display of loyalty and laughs mockingly, twirling her umbrella. "First Mr. 9 and now you too, Ms. Monday? What a joke. Kyahaha." Mr. 5 looks at Miss Monday with utter disgust. "You disgrace, the name of..." Before he can finish, Miss Monday charges at Mr. 5 with incredible speed, swinging her massive wooden beam and grabbing him tightly by the collar. "Ngh!" she grunts as she initiates her attack.

Mr. 5 completes his condemnation, declaring "THE NAME OF... BAROQUE WORKS!!" as he immediately retaliates against Miss Monday's aggressive attack with devastating force. He pulls back his arm and delivers a powerful, explosive punch directly to her face. As his fist connects with her jaw, a massive explosion erupts from the point of impact, engulfing Miss Monday in smoke and force. She is violently thrown backward by the blast, her body smoking and going limp as she falls heavily to the ground, completely overpowered and defeated by Mr. 5's explosive ability.

Mr. 5 stands calmly amidst the swirling smoke, his hand still raised from the explosive punch he just delivered. "I'm a human bomb that can make any part of my body explode," he explains coldly to his terrified audience. Vivi watches in absolute horror, gasping, "Guh...!" as she realizes the danger they are in. Mr. 5 casually picks his nose, adjusting his dark sunglasses with a smug expression. "With this ability bestowed upon me by the Bomb Bomb Fruit, there's not a single mission I've failed at!" He then flicks a booger from his finger with deadly precision, shouting his attack name, "NOSE FANCY CANNON!" The explosive booger flies rapidly towards Vivi and Karoo, detonating violently near them and sending up another cloud of smoke. Mr. 5 declares confidently, "You can't run away from us."

Just as the smoke and debris from Mr. 5's explosive attack begin to clear, Zoro suddenly leaps high into the air, drawing his swords with lightning speed. He slices through the smoke and the explosive projectile with a swift, precise strike, completely neutralizing the threat before it can harm Vivi or Karoo. He lands gracefully and firmly on the ground in front of them, his swords drawn and his stance ready for battle. Vivi looks at him in absolute surprise and immense relief, exclaiming, "Mr. Bushido!" Mr. 5 stares at the newcomer, confused and slightly annoyed by the sudden interference, asking, "Who's he?" Vivi sighs in relief, realizing they might have a chance, "Ahh, the road was...!"

Zoro stands defensively in front of Vivi, looking incredibly disgusted by the attack he just deflected. "I can't believe I had to cut a freakin' booger! DAMN IT!" he complains loudly, wiping his blade. He then turns around and points one of his swords threateningly directly at Vivi's face. "Why do you have to come and block my way now of all times!?" he demands angrily. Vivi recoils in fear, sweating nervously, "Ahh!" Zoro then lowers his sword slightly, his expression turning serious and focused as he states, "Calm down, I've come to save you." Vivi looks utterly confused and bewildered by his sudden change in demeanor and his claim, questioning, "Save me? Wha..."

Back at the ruins, Nami continues her intense conversation with the heavily injured Igaram, who is still lying on the ground. "Hey... So what exactly, is Baroque Works?" Nami asks, seeking to understand the enemy they are facing. Igaram explains grimly, "It's a secret criminal organization in which not a single member knows the name nor the real identity of our boss. Under the boss' orders, we carry out tasks ranging from intelligence gathering, assassination, robbery, and bounty hunting." Nami looks puzzled and asks, "Why do the members of Baroque Works bother to listen to this boss, when they don't even know his name or identity?" Igaram reveals the organization's grand ambition, "The final objective of Baroque Works, is the creation of an ideal nation."

Igaram continues his detailed explanation to Nami, who is now sitting casually on a wooden barrel, listening intently. "Those who bring success to our organization, shall be granted high-ranking positions in this ideal nation by the boss." Nami nods, absorbing the information, "I see..." Igaram continues, "The boss goes by the codename, 'Mr. 0'... the lower an officer agent's number is, the higher their status will be in this ideal nation... but more importantly, the stronger they will be as well...! Especially for agents with number 5 or less, their strength is... abnormal." Meanwhile, Luffy is seen sleepwalking back towards the buildings, his stomach still bloated. "Ahh, that feels better. Time to go back to sleep," he mutters peacefully. Suddenly, Luffy's eyes bulge out in absolute shock and fury as he sees something off-panel. "WHAAAAAT!?" he screams at the top of his lungs, completely wide awake.

Mr. 5 addresses Zoro, recognizing him from the earlier commotion. "Oh, you're the swordsman who defeated all the low-ranking agents in this town, aren't you? Why would someone like you be trying to protect Alabasta's princess?" he asks, genuinely curious about Zoro's motives. Zoro replies calmly and cryptically, "I have my own circumstances." Miss Valentine twirls her umbrella and laughs dismissively, "Well, whatever. You're in our way in any case. KYAHAHA! That's right. Since you're in our way..." She smiles menacingly, holding up a hand as she prepares to attack. "Allow me to bury your face under the ground with my ability," she threatens, ready to use her Devil Fruit powers against the swordsman.

Zoro looks annoyed by the Baroque Works agents and their threats. "What is it this time? Or do you owe that woman something as well?" he asks, preparing for a fight. Suddenly, a loud, furious voice echoes through the street, interrupting the standoff: "ZORO-OOO-OOO!" Zoro turns his head, surprised by the familiar voice. "Luffy? What is it? If it's about help, then I don't need it," he says casually. However, Luffy stomps into view, his stomach heavily bloated from eating, his face contorted in absolute, unbridled rage. "I'LL NEVER FORGIVE YOU! FIGHT ME!" Luffy screams at the top of his lungs, completely furious at his crewmate. Zoro is taken aback, sweating in confusion and shock at Luffy's sudden hostility. "WHA!?"
