Chapter 426 summary
The warships open fire on the Bridge of Hesitation and destroy half of the first prop where Luffy and Lucci fight. The Straw Hats on the escape ship watch in shock as the Marines confirm their targets include Luffy and Lucci and begin surrounding the bridge to retrieve Robin. Luffy spots his crew across the rubble and they shout that they have reached the bridge safely with Robin. Lucci warns that their survival will not last long under the Buster Call. Marines charge the bridge but Sanji and Zoro repel the assault while the crew holds position until Luffy finishes his fight. Lucci notes that Luffy's Gear Second is fading and strikes him with Roku Ou Gun, knocking him to the ground. As the bridge shakes from further cannon fire, Sogeking screams Luffy's name in horror from the escape ship.
