Archangel's Breath

The long-haired woman leans in with a slight smile. NOT A PROBLEM, she states. I WILL NOW HEAL THE INJURED PLAYER. Gon stands with hands raised, eyes wide in surprise. Behind him, Killua and another character react with shock, sweat drops flying. WOW! someone exclaims. Gon raises one hand higher. THEN, TAKE MY LEAVE, the woman says as she departs in a swirl of smoke. In the final panel, Gon thrusts both arms upward triumphantly. IT'S DONE! he shouts with a wide grin. The others watch the bright light effect.

A bright flash erupts as a card is activated with the word GAIN. In the distance, Biscuit and Killua watch while a figure holds up a book. Genthru lies on the ground, dazed, as someone asks if he is okay. Gon and Killua discuss the situation. Gon says they will need to borrow Gensuru's book. Biscuit activates her ability, shouting GENSURU! and USE "CLONE"! She holds up a card while the open book reveals that "ARCHANGEL'S BREATH" is the only card left in the book.

Confusion erupts as the Clone effect takes hold. Biscuit exclaims that Clone will now nullify and that the number of copies of Archangel's Breath has reached its limit. Gon realizes the Exchange Ticket that becomes Archangel's Breath was probably duped using Clone or Transform. Biscuit reveals she knew after seeing the card list. A figure identified as Golimu appears, and another player is shown using Contact on someone. Killua agrees to come to the city closest to them after Biscuit says she will use Return.

A stern man with a headband glares forward with intense eyes. Nearby, a long-haired man and a spiky-haired prisoner lie on the ground with sweat drops indicating tension. The headband man turns and declares he refuses to trade the cards if they will be used on the defeated foes. He reminds everyone that the opponents have killed countless people on Greed Island. The spiky-haired boy Gon stands with his back partly turned, questioning why anyone would use Archangel's Breath on such enemies. Genthru offers that if the cards are for any of his allies, he will give them away for free. Gon immediately responds with approval. Gon then asks whether the same cards would be used on him. The bound prisoner remains silent as Gon states that when he kills, he is also prepared to be killed in return. He adds that every player who came to Greed Island arrived with a determination surpassing death and held no regrets when killed. A shocked reaction mark appears as someone questions whether it matters that he has killed even more people than the defeated foes.

Genthru insists he is nothing like the bomb devils and shows no mercy to his opponents. He states their natures are different and asks if Killua would still judge the devils. Killua stands with arms crossed, replying that he does not want the bound man to die. Genthru asks whether Killua feels the same way. Killua answers that the feeling is personal and has nothing to do with reason, noting that Gon does not respond to logic. Genthru explains that once a battle begins, one must kill the other person. Killua admits he hates the type of people who kill recklessly and is frustrated by the situation. Gon declares that this is why they prepared six copies of the Clone card before the fight, his eyes wide with determination.

Gon and Killua stand together in the rocky clearing, reflecting on their choice. Gon says, "I understand what GOLIMU is feeling, but there is nothing we can do..." Killua replies, "Even though it makes no sense, we still want to heal those three." They continue, "We didn't hesitate at all... We didn't have to think twice about our choice..." and conclude, "Once the winner has been decided, we'll use 'Archangel's Breath' to heal everyone's injuries. We came to a very natural conclusion." In the next panel Killua, now mostly healed, grins and declares, "They're almost healed!" Gon turns to him and says, "No problem! Sorry Killua! You might have to endure a bit longer." The stern man in the striped shirt reacts with shock, asking, "You mean the original?" as another voice notes, "Just one copy... Only one copy of 'Archangel's Breath' is left. Too bad... because of what just happened, we can't use 'Clone' anymore." Lying injured on the ground, Genthru opens his eyes and states, "I just have a slight concussion. It's nothing serious. Please, just use the last card on Gensuru."

Gon dramatically holds up the glowing card and shouts, "GAIN!" He pleads, "We didn't lie to you. Please fulfill the bargain." Genthru lies battered nearby. The striped-shirt man yells, "You are an idiot!" as Gon calls out, "Gon!" A tall woman with long hair appears and calmly says, "As you wish... Please heal Gensuru's injuries." The striped-shirt man panics, shouting, "Don't be so hasty! I know! I know! Hey! Wait a minute!" Gon replies, "Okay!" and the woman adds, "Then, let's use 'Accompany' and head to the Magic City." Gon extends the card toward her and says, "I'll give it to you, 'Archangel's Breath'. Take it!" The woman asks, "What is it?"

Genthru stands in profile, glaring as he demands, "DID YOU LISTEN TO A SINGLE WORD I SAID?" with a dismissive "SHEESH." Gon, Killua, and Biscuit stare back in the smaller panels. Genthru continues flatly, "I ALREADY DECIDED BEFORE I CAME HERE," and when asked about the card, he offers, "I'LL GIVE YOU NOT ONLY 'ARCHANGEL'S BREATH', BUT ALL THE CARDS I HAVE." Gon and Killua react with wide-eyed shock, "EH?!" Genthru explains the group decision: "WE'RE NOT GOING TO COMPLETE THE GAME. THIS IS SOMETHING ALL FIVE OF US, INCLUDING MR. TSEZUGERA, AGREED UPON." In the lower section, an angry voice yells, "HEY! GIVE US SOME OF THAT! 4 BILLION!?" Genthru clarifies, "OUT OF WHICH I'M TAKING FOUR BILLION... BECAUSE THERE WAS A BREACH OF CONTRACT, WE CAN ONLY GET 70% OF THE TOTAL REWARD." Biscuit, now healed, exclaims in amazement while holding her hands up, "AMAZING! MY HANDS ARE COMPLETELY HEALED! REALLY... MR. BATTERA HE..." Genthru looks surprised and asks, "WHAT? WHAT ARE YOU SAYING? OF COURSE I'M GOING TO SHARE IT WITH YOU."

Gon and Killua lean in close with a small "え？" Gon, Killua, and Biscuit all shout in unison, "EEEEEHHH?!" Genthru explains calmly from the side, "WE ALL GET EQUAL SHARES, SO THAT MAKES ONE BILLION FOR EACH OF US." Biscuit's eyes swirl as she mutters, "YOU REALLY ARE..." Genthru adds, "EVEN THOUGH I'M ONLY RECEIVING A PORTION, IT'S STILL A PRETTY GOOD HAUL. WHAT'S THERE TO BE SURPRISED ABOUT? I COULDN'T HAVE GOTTEN THAT MONEY ALONE." The trio protests loudly, "IDIOTS! HOW CAN YOU NOT TAKE IT! WE EARNED THIS MONEY!" Genthru replies, "IT'S OKAY. WE DON'T NEED THE MONEY." Biscuit exclaims, "I NEVER KNEW YOU WERE SUCH A GOOD PERSON!" Genthru offers a compromise, "I'LL JUST GIVE YOU THREE BILLION AND YOU SPLIT IT HOWEVER YOU WANT." Gon says, "I KNOW." Killua shouts, "I'M NOT WAITING!" Biscuit concludes, "OKAY OKAY, WE'LL FIGURE IT OUT LATER."

A man with dark hair leans forward and declares, "YOU HAVE TO BE THE FIRST TO BEAT THE GAME!" Another voice adds, "JUST ONE CONDITION." The man continues, "WHAT YOU DO WITH THEM IS UP TO YOU," while a hand holds up a stack of cards and states, "NOW, AS I WAS SAYING. ALL THE CARDS ARE YOURS." Gon, with spiky hair, grins confidently and replies, "NO PROBLEM!" Killua, with black hair, smiles and answers, "SURE!" Genthru, holding a large binder labeled "BINDER," explains the situation: "RIGHT NOW EVERYONE ON GREED ISLAND HAS NOTICED US. IT'S GOING TO BE A HASSLE." He adds, "THAT ONLY LEAVES NUMBER 000. DO YOU UNDERSTAND?" Gon turns and asks, "REALLY?" Genthru continues, "RIGHT NOW, YOU'VE COLLECTED 99 OF THE IMPOSED SLOT CARDS. I WAS THINKING." Killua reacts with surprise, "AH! THAT'S RIGHT!" From the side, Gon wonders, "JUST WHAT WILL HAPPEN." Genthru responds, "LET'S FIND OUT," while stating, "I THINK EVERYONE WANTS TO KNOW. AFTER COLLECTING 99 OF THE IMPOSED SLOT CARDS, WHAT WILL HAPPEN?"

Genthru's finger presses a button on the binder, triggering a "BEEP" sound. He flips through the pages of the open binder. Gon and Biscuit watch closely with focused expressions. Genthru's foot steps forward as two "CLICK" sounds echo from the binder's mechanisms. The binder is shown open, revealing empty card slots with the text "99 IMPOSED SLOT CARDS!" displayed prominently. Additional text reads, "THERE ARE NOW," as the page turns. Close-up panels show Gon, Killua, Biscuit, and Genthru all staring intently at the binder. Genthru's face appears tense as he examines the final page.

A massive announcement blares across Greed Island: "ATTENTION ALL PLAYERS!" Gon stands alert on the left while Biscuit holds open a large book and Killua crouches beside her; a tall man with crossed arms watches from the right as a question mark pops above the group. The broadcast continues: "TO COMMEMORATE THIS EVENT, IN TEN MINUTES THERE WILL BE A TRIVIA GAME OPEN TO ALL PLAYERS ON GREED ISLAND." Elsewhere, a bald man in a striped shirt flips through cards while children gather around a table of open books. The voice explains that 99 players have finally appeared with 99 cards in their imposed slots. A girl wearing a visor headset declares, "THE PLAYER WITH THE HIGHEST SCORE WILL WIN A PRIZE..." and adds, "THERE ARE 100 QUESTIONS IN TOTAL! ALL QUESTIONS WILL BE ON THE CARDS WITHIN THE IMPOSED SLOTS." The final instructions ring out: "EVERYONE PLEASE OPEN YOUR BOOKS, AND WAIT JUST A SECOND." The prize is revealed as "CARD NO. 000, 'BLISS OF THE VICTOR'!"

Gon, Killua, and Biscuit discuss the upcoming quiz. Killua notes, "THAT'S NOT A LOT." Biscuit adds, "BASED ON OUR EXPERIENCE, WE WILL PROBABLY BE ABLE TO ANSWER 70 OR 80 QUESTIONS." Gon points out that players who steal cards will struggle with the questions. Biscuit concludes, "SO THAT'S IT. THE QUESTIONS WILL BE BASED ON THE IMPOSED CARD SLOTS..." They recall that Tsezguerra was the only one who personally collected more cards than them and has already left the island. Biscuit states they have a good chance of victory because rule-breakers cannot compete. Suddenly a large exclamation mark appears as Gon’s eyes widen in surprise. From behind, Biscuit shouts, "SOMEONE'S COMING!" while motion lines and impact effects burst across the panel, signaling an approaching presence.

Killua's eyes widen in alarm as a brilliant flash erupts in the distance, sending powerful shockwaves outward. 'WHAT'S HAPPENING?! EVERYONE'S FLYING TOWARDS US!' he shouts. He quickly glances the other way. 'WAIT! PEOPLE ARE COMING FROM THIS SIDE, TOO!' A tremendous force rips across the landscape, with heavy vertical speed lines and debris flying everywhere. In the wide view below, Gon, Killua, Biscuit, and two other figures are thrown to the ground amid swirling dust and impact craters as the pull intensifies.
