Gon shouts with fierce determination, his back to the viewer, fists clenched. No matter what...!!! Protect Komugi. Pitou kneels over Kite's motionless body on the cracked ground, one hand still resting on the fallen figure. A digital timer in the corner reads 0:00:34:89. Large stylized Japanese text erupts beside Gon as he yells.

Kite's motionless body lies on the ground near a ruined structure as Pitou kneels beside it. Gon stares forward with wide eyes while Killua stands a step behind him. Killua notices something abnormal in Pitou's posture. Pitou remains in a low stance with one hand extended, appearing ready to fight despite being right in front of them. Gon questions whether Pitou really thinks she can win without relying on her aura. Killua realizes Pitou is virtually naked, protected only by a thin aura. The aura swelling from Gon is different than before. Someone exclaims that it cannot be.

Pitou stands with her back partially turned, declaring she cannot possibly fight while her defenses are down. Killua asserts that no matter how powerful Pitou is, the space in between means something. Pitou crouches low, confident that even an incomplete invocation of her ability would allow a pre-emptive strike. Killua stands at a distance, noting that even if the opponent had some trick prepared, he cannot see that at all. Gon stares with a serious expression, sweat visible, acknowledging that the stance is just like that one thing he cannot identify.

A towering figure stands with arms flung wide in a protective stance, curly hair framing a determined face as the words 'A MOTHER'S ... !!!' explode across the panel. The figure shields a smaller person with pigtails who appears limp or unconscious. Below, Gon stares upward in utter disbelief, sweat flying from his face. 'THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE... SHE'S...!! SHE'S NOT THAT KIND OF PERSON!!' he shouts. Narration beside him reads 'JUST LIKE SHE'S VOLUNTEERING HER BODY OUT TO PROTECT SOMETHING WEAKER.....!!'

A bright flash panel shows a man in profile saying 'MENTION SUCH A SUGGESTIVE PHRASE ...?' while another voice commands 'JUDGE WHAT'S HAPPENING INSIDE FOR YOURSELVES.' Killua appears in close-up, sweating and tense, replying 'THEN WHY DID GRANDPA ... BUT ...' Narration states 'WHILE KILLUA WAS DESPERATELY ARGUING WITH HIS OWN INTUITION.' In a barren landscape, Gon and Killua stand with their backs to the viewer facing a distant figure and a prone body. Further panels reveal the girl lying on the ground with the large figure looming over her, and a close view of Kite's broken body tangled in threads. Narration reads 'THE FIGURE OF THE GIRL LYING DOWN' and 'IN GON'S EYES, WERE OVERLAPPED. AND THE BROKEN BODY OF KAITO.'

Gon glares forward with fierce intensity, his eyes wide and teeth gritted, spiky hair bristling as dark energy-like lines flare wildly around his head. Sweat and strain mark his face in the extreme close-up. Below, his fist clenches tightly at the center of radiating impact lines and motion bursts, accompanied by sharp SFX reading ギュル on both sides.

Pitou stares with wide eyes from the upper left panel. In the upper right, Pitou's legs stand on rocky ground while speech bubbles command "FROM THAT PERSON." and "GET AWAY". A wider view shows Pitou facing Gon, who stands with his back partly turned; large bubbles read "AWAY FROM HER, RIGHT NOW!!!" and "I SAID, GET YOURSELF AND THAT MONSTER". Close-ups capture Gon's shouting face with "AND BRING KAITO" and "FIGHT ME," followed by another panel repeating "FIGHT ME!!" and "AND ...". Final panels show Gon from behind leaning over a prone figure and an open hand reaching forward on the ground.

Neferpitou kneels low on the cracked ground, body hunched forward with both palms pressed flat and open against the dirt, tail curled behind her. Killua watches from the side, sweat on his face, realizing the meaning of the gesture. Gon stares with wide eyes, his expression shifting. Narration states that Killua knew that. Pitou's voice pleads, 'PLEASE WAIT... I BEG YOU.' The open palms were a gesture made with all her might to show that she bore no malice. Gon's face fills the bottom of the page, eyes blazing with fury, sweat flying, mouth open in a silent roar of rage.

Gon towers over Neferpitou, face twisted in fury, shouting 'WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO WAIT FOR?!?!' and 'GET SERIOUS!!!' He spreads his arms wide and yells 'STAND!!!!' and 'LET'S GO OUTSIDE!!!' Rain or debris streaks the background. Killua watches from below, sweat on his cheek, thinking that he was in the process of grasping the situation which was... Meanwhile, narration notes that Pitou's unthinkable lack of resistance left Gon lacking any means by which to strike the hammer of his emotions.

In the aftermath of the dragon's strike, a figure recalls using Dragon Drive and Dragon Head specifically to separate the King from his Royal Guards. His job was most likely complete. There were conditions he wasn't informed of. That means what happens afterwards is of no concern. Grandpa sent down the dragon without knowing anything. Was that she was here? What he didn't know. That third being that none of us were aware of. No... I bet this girl is special. That's because to the King, she is. Why would he do such an irregular thing? This is just a hunch, but she's also the reason the King hurt himself. She isn't being taken apart right now. Right!

Pitou's healing ability doesn't only keep her from using En. It also requires her to concentrate all of her aura onto the target. By the orders of the King, she's being healed. To Gon what could only be interpreted as a negative outcome. Was keenly realized by Killua. What should I say? What should I do?!

Gon's eyes widen in shock as sharp motion lines flare around his face. Nearby, a bandaged foot slams down onto cracked stone, sending debris flying. A small panel shows a battered figure on the ground whispering "go...". The scene shifts to a close-up of a long-haired girl whose eyes bulge with desperation, tears and sweat streaking her face. She shouts with all her might, "I'LL DO ANYTHING YOU SAY!!" and "ANY-THING!!". In the next panels her expression softens into pleading as she adds, "SO PLEASE WAIT." and begins, "I...".

From above, a massive surge of energy erupts around a fallen figure on the shattered ground while a small silhouette kneels nearby. Gon stands watching with his back to the viewer. A voice declares, "SAVE THIS HUMAN!!" and another states, "I ABSOLUTELY MUST". The view cuts to Gon's intense close-up face, then to Killua's profile in shadow. In the bottom panels Gon's eyes narrow as he processes the words, thinking "SAVE... WHAT?" while Killua echoes, "SAVE ...?".

Killua stands firm, declaring he is doing the talking. Gon watches tensely from the side. Killua presses Pitou, asking what 'anything' truly means. Gon's eyes widen in shock as he realizes the stakes: Pitou has to save her. The atmosphere grows unbearably strained. Pitou remains silent, unable to find the exact words. Finally, the answer Pitou chooses is clear—this human is the one whose life matters. Komugi's life now depends entirely on what Pitou says next.

Pitou kneels on the ground, one hand pressed to the floor, staring upward with intense focus. The towering figure's legs frame the scene. Pitou affirms that the one of true importance was never a lie. Close-ups reveal Pitou's widening eyes as the realization hits: if this human dies, the King's condition will worsen. Pitou concludes that saving her is necessary, even if it means the King will no longer be his former self. The decision is final.

A close-up shows the long-haired figure with cat-like eyes speaking firmly. "I WILL DO AS YOU SAY...!!!" the figure declares. "AFTER I FINISH HEALING HER," they continue. In a dark panel, Gon stands silhouetted, watching. The figure's face appears again, pleading, "PLEASE WAIT..." and adding, "THEREFORE." Gon questions the motive in a speech bubble: "TO SAVE HER?" The figure responds, "YOU WANT." In the bottom panels, Gon stands in the darkness, breathing heavily. "HAA..." he exhales. "HAAH." His expression shifts as realization hits. "MEANS SHE IS SAVING HER?" he thinks. "MUST SAVE HER...?" A label marks the boy as GON.

A dramatic close-up fills the page with Gon's face, eyes wide and mouth tense. "HOW CAN YOU SAY..." he begins. "SUCH A SELFISH THING..." he continues, voice rising. Text boxes emphasize "WITH ALL HIS MIGHT." and "FOUGHT." Gon shouts, "SO SELFISH...!!!!" The lower half of the page goes black. Narration reads, "AND HIMSELF..." Gon clenches his fist, yelling "DAMMIT...!" Large letters spell "SWAYING!!!" Final narration states, "WHAT HE COULD ONLY SEE AS ONE WITH WHICH TO FIGHT."
