Momonosuke is Kozuki Oden's son. In a flashback aboard the Moby Dick, Oden holds his newborn aloft and declares the name that conveys invincibility. The crew celebrates the birth with cheers of "HE'S BORN!" and "HOGYA! HOGYA!" while Oden proclaims "Kozuki Momonosuke!" ch. 965, p. 4. Toki stands beside him as the infant receives the family name amid the rejoicing. ch. 965, p. 4 Years later the same child appears with Oden and Toki, and Oden refers to him explicitly as Lord Momonosuke when discussing their future. ch. 965, p. 4 The manga records no other parentage for the boy and consistently places him in the Kozuki lineage as Oden's heir.
