Chapter 637 summary
At Gyoncord Plaza Hody rises after swallowing Energy Steroids and strikes Luffy with fishman karate, but Luffy's rubber body absorbs the blow. Luffy then uses Armament Haki to smash through the Steel Shell Squadron and drives Hody across the battlefield while dodging water bullets. The crowd cheers for Luffy until the ancient ark Noah descends overhead and casts a shadow over the plaza. Panic spreads as the ship presses against the island's bubble, and Wadatsumi falls from it, confirming Vander Decken's control. Vander Decken declares he is sending the Noah to kill Shirahoshi and destroy the island with her. Shirahoshi flies upward and places herself in the ship's path to spare the kingdom. Luffy prepares to pursue the vessel while Hody climbs the chains beneath it and declares the situation suits his needs.
