Jimbei
Jimbei is a whale shark fishman soldier in the Neptune Army who rose to become captain of the Sun Pirates after Fisher Tiger. He later served as a Royal Shichibukai known as the Knight of the Sea before resigning. Jimbei is known for his role in the Impel Down breakout alongside Luffy and Crocodile and for his actions during the Marineford conflict where he shielded Ace from marine attacks while committing to protect Luffy at Ace's request.
Throughout his time as a Shichibukai and afterward Jimbei maintains ties to Fish-Man Island and intervenes in disputes involving Arlong and later Hody. He demonstrates consistent loyalty to allies by calling whale sharks for escape support and urging decisive action to safeguard those under his protection even when wounded.

Jimbei appears as a tall muscular whale shark fishman with a topknot scars and ornate patterned clothing featuring traditional fishman designs along with wristbands and a headband. He carries a trident and wears beads around his neck when restrained in chains against brick walls during imprisonment.12
During combat Jimbei adopts dynamic stances with open palm blocks and lunges that produce massive water splashes while his face shows intense focus gritted teeth and sweat drops. His fishman features remain visible even when bandaged in ornate robes after sustaining severe wounds.34

Jimbei maintains a calm and resolute demeanor even under pressure as seen when he steadily tells Ace that is enough during their shared imprisonment and orders a group to shut up with commanding tone. He expresses internal fear of his own violent nature while striking Arlong during a dispute over a subordinate.56
Jimbei shows protective instincts by physically intervening to free Ace and verbally committing to sacrifice himself to delay enemies declaring his life has no value. He later apologizes to Luffy while wounded and urges allies to advance during confrontations.78
