Chapter 680 summary
Brownbeard carries the Straw Hats and their allies through the connecting passage between A and B-Block while complaining about their weight and urging them onward. The group pauses to rest and discuss their hunger as Kin'emon insists on finding his son. Tashigi and the G-5 Marines decide they must escape to report Caesar's weapon to headquarters. A dragon appears and attacks the Marines in the passage before retreating. Vergo arrives and begins striking down the G-5 soldiers without warning. Tashigi recognizes the betrayal and tries to intervene but Vergo knocks her down. Sanji arrives from the other group and kicks Vergo to protect her. In B-Block the awakened dragon pursues Brownbeard's group while Caesar watches the events on screens and expresses fury at Vergo's actions.
