Chapter 176 summary
Inside the flooded Rain Dinners casino the giant Bananadile spits up Mr. 3 inside his wax ball, and the key sticks to the ball. Sanji kicks Mr. 3, forces him to shape a duplicate key from wax, and unlocks the cage. The group fights off the bananadiles until the underwater passage collapses, then flees through another exit while carrying the waterlogged devil-fruit users. Outside they revive on the street, where Zoro explains he saved Smoker only on Luffy’s order; Smoker lowers his weapon and lets the Straw Hats go. The crew runs toward Alubarna until Chopper arrives riding the giant crab Hasami, and everyone except Luffy climbs aboard. Luffy is left behind in the dust and is seized from behind by Crocodile’s golden hook. Vivi screams Luffy’s name from the speeding crab while Sanji curses. Luffy shouts for the others to keep going as Crocodile holds him captive.
