Chapter 258 summary
Luffy, Zoro, Chopper and Robin form the exploration team heading from the sacrificial altar toward the ancient ruins in Upper Yard, with their paths diverging south through the forest. Chopper flees in panic from the priest Yama and Divine Soldiers, only for Shandia warriors Braham, Kamakiri and Genbo to join the pursuit amid the chaos. The giant snake Nola appears and disrupts the fighting, allowing Chopper to escape while the others clash. Nico Robin reaches overgrown ruins and calmly defeats Yama with her Seis Fleurs technique after he confronts her. Wiper spots Luffy below and readies his bazooka to eliminate him after declaring the island belongs to the Shandia. Zoro defeats Kamakiri in a brief clash and then strikes a surrendering Divine Soldier. Braham opens fire on Zoro from above with flash-dial pistols, forcing him to dodge and take cover. Braham blinds Zoro with a flash attack before the two prepare for a direct confrontation.
