Chapter 605 summary
The Thousand Sunny is attacked by massive kraken tentacles that thrash across the deck and railings. Luffy wants to tame the creature to pull the ship while the rest of the crew points out its enormous size and the wrecked vessels already in its grasp. Nami sketches the monster as the others argue over a strategy and set a course due south. Caribou's ship approaches from behind with his crew shouting that they have returned to save him, but a tentacle crushes one of his men. The kraken surges upward and smashes into the coated Sunny, its suckers gripping the hull and destroying the bubble coating while the crew panics. Zoro yells at the monster as jellyfish drift nearby. Luffy activates Gear 3 and the crew dodges the swinging tentacles with a maneuver called Chicken Voyage. Sanji warns against big attacks that could break the coating as the kraken continues to press against the ship.
