Chapter 88 summary
Usopp defeats Chew by striking him repeatedly with his hammer and rubber band attacks until the fish-man collapses. Nami bandages her wound and runs toward Arlong Park. There Arlong overpowers Sanji and Zoro with water blasts while Genzo performs CPR on the submerged Luffy. Sanji attempts another kick but Arlong slams him down and demands they die. Nami arrives and announces she has come to kill Arlong, prompting him to offer her a choice between joining his crew to spare the villagers or fighting alongside the weakened pirates. Nami sides with Luffy's group and asks the villagers to die with her, which they accept. Luffy surfaces gasping for air as Sanji dives in to free his legs and Zoro readies his swords. Usopp appears on the wall claiming victory over Chew and offers support, while Arlong declares he will not allow them to act freely.
