The villagers march to fight yet Nami stops them until Luffy offers help. Luffy Zoro Sanji and Usopp enter Arlong Park and begin battling the fishmen while Momoo charges and flees. Zoro defeats Hatchan with three swords while Sanji fights Kuroobi underwater and on land. Usopp defeats Chew with fire and hammer attacks. Arlong overpowers Sanji and Zoro with water blasts until Nami arrives and sides with Luffy's group. Luffy surfaces after Genzo and Nojiko free him. The crew forces Arlong away from the water as Luffy prepares to fight him directly. Ch. 85Ch. 86Ch. 87Ch. 88+2

Luffy dodges Arlong's tooth and nose attacks then drags the fight into Nami's map room. He smashes the building with a battle-axe kick that collapses Arlong Park. Luffy emerges and declares Nami his crewmate. She accepts and the villagers celebrate. Nezumi claims credit but is driven off. Nami joins the crew and sails away after a final party at the island.
