Usopp hides behind a wall and questions Nojiko about Arlong's plan to build a fishmen empire. Nojiko spots Genzo confronting Arlong in the village square, where Arlong declares that possessing weapons signals rebellion and prepares to execute Genzo as a warning. Villagers protest the decision while Genzo urges them to endure rather than fight back. Usopp fires a Gunpowder Star at Arlong from a rooftop and bluffs about commanding eight thousand subordinates, but Arlong smashes the building and orders his crew to capture the intruder. Usopp flees and slows his pursuer with an Egg Star before escaping. After the fishmen depart, the villagers help Genzo, who refuses treatment, until Nami arrives and greets them. Nami later sits at Bellemere's grave and states she needs only seven million more beli to buy the village. At Arlong Park, Zoro sits among unconscious fishmen and recalls his promise to Luffy to bring Nami back.
