Oden and the Nine Red Scabbards march out to confront Kaido while Toki stays behind with Momonosuke and Hiyori. Kaido mocks Oden's choice to avoid casualties, but Oden charges forward with his retainers and cuts through the Beasts Pirates. Shinobu arrives from the palace to join the fight after Orochi seizes control there. Oden breaks through to Kaido and strikes his dragon form with Togen Totsuka, sending him crashing down. Higurashi uses the Clone Clone Fruit to impersonate Momonosuke and distract Oden, allowing Kaido to strike him from behind. Oden and his nine retainers are captured and held in the Flower Capital as the forest of Udon burns for five days. Yasuie reaches Kuri to warn Toki, and the chapter closes on the announcement that the ten samurais will be boiled alive in three days.
