How Robin's "darkness" foreshadows her betrayal of the Straw Hats

From the beginning, she has warned the Straw Hats that a dark force lives inside her, and that one day it could fully overtake her. Aokiji himself said she has betrayed all of her past crews. Once you really start breaking it down, the parallels between Robin and Imu become genuinely eerie.

Robin holds darkness within herself. Imu appears to embody darkness itself. Robin bears the Flower-Flower Fruit. Imu resides in the flower chamber. Robin is known as the Devil Child, and in Wano she even manifests quite literally in devil form. Imu is framed almost as the devil itself. Even their eyes seem to mirror each other, with that same swirling, rasengan-like pattern.

It feels like a deliberate visual parallel. We’re seeing the idea of traitors come up more and more now with characters like Kanjuro, Blackbeard, and even Greed in the last arc. It makes me think we might eventually learn that one of Joyboy’s original crewmates betrayed him and helped lead to the creation of the World Government. And if that’s where Oda is going, Robin honestly feels like one of the biggest candidates to inherit that traitor role.

Let’s not forget that Luffy represents Jesus, whom will one day be betrayed by Judas. It’s only a matter of time.

Who else thinks there’s a real chance we get a traitor in the Straw Hats by the end of One Piece? Maybe not by choice, but through something like mind control. It feels like Oda has been laying the groundwork for years.

If one of the Straw Hats were to be affected, I honestly think it would be Robin. And it’s not just because of her past. Look at the clues.
