Kurozumi Kanjuro is a samurai of the Wano Kingdom known as Evening Rain Kanjuro who was taken hostage by Doflamingo's forces while aiding Kin'emon's escape. He possesses a Devil Fruit ability that allows ink drawings to manifest as real objects and later reveals himself as a spy for Orochi who has been feeding information to the enemy while masquerading among the allies. Kanjuro was first referenced when Kin'emon described how a samurai named Kanjuro aided an escape to sea only to be taken hostage by Doflamingo and his people after the group reached Dressrosa. Kin'emon explained that the ship had set sail for an island while he covered the escape, leaving Kanjuro captured. Luffy immediately declared they would help save Kanjuro too upon hearing the account of the tragedy that separated the group.1112
Kanjuro reunites with Kin'emon after the events in Dressrosa and demonstrates his abilities before the group travels onward. He assists in descending the elephant at Zou and later disguises himself as a fishmonger while moving through the streets of Wano.51314
During the journey through Wano, Kurozumi Kanjuro reacted with initial shock then a wide grin upon hearing an interruption from outside during a heated argument among the group.
