Kurozumi Kanjuro

Kurozumi Kanjuro wears a long white cloak with a bow and carries a sword while maintaining a topknot hairstyle and striped cloak during travels through forests and towns. He holds a brush for drawing and is shown with wide open mouth and tears during emotional reunions or with closed eyes while laughing in wide mouth expressions. His full body appears standing while holding the brush near small drawings of food or creatures.1

Kanjuro is depicted with dark hair and mustache in central panels along with intense expressions featuring wide eyes sweat and dramatic shading during confessions. He appears in armored form with striped clothing and headband while staggering with breathing effects or looming over others with sword raised.23

Kurozumi Kanjuro displays emotional reactions through crying and laughing during reunions with Kin'emon while offering drawings of food despite refusals from others. He claims to want not even food thanks to his magic and laughs while dismissing formalities after long separations.4

Kurozumi Kanjuro uses a magic brush to create drawings that come to life such as a bird which he commands to come forth and a climbing dragon summoned with dramatic orders. His Devil Fruit ability allows ink drawings to manifest as real objects including food and creatures that others react to with amazement.54

Kanjuro performs ninja art techniques including blindfold no jutsu with guess whooo pose and tilt effects while recognizing figures during chaos. He later employs sumi gumo ink cloud technique and unleashes ink arrows to rain down on ships during confrontations.678

Kurozumi Kanjuro was taken hostage by Doflamingo's forces after aiding Kin'emon's escape from pursuit on an unknown ship that sailed toward an island. He remained captured and held as a hostage while Kin'emon expressed urgency to rescue him during discussions with Luffy's group.910

Kanjuro was first referenced when Kin'emon described how a samurai named Kanjuro aided an escape to sea only to be taken hostage by Doflamingo and his people after the group reached Dressrosa. Kin'emon explained that the ship had set sail for an island while he covered the escape, leaving Kanjuro captured. Luffy immediately declared they would help save Kanjuro too upon hearing the account of the tragedy that separated the group.1112

Kanjuro reunites with Kin'emon after the events in Dressrosa and demonstrates his abilities before the group travels onward. He assists in descending the elephant at Zou and later disguises himself as a fishmonger while moving through the streets of Wano.51314

During the journey through Wano, Kurozumi Kanjuro reacted with initial shock then a wide grin upon hearing an interruption from outside during a heated argument among the group. The scene occurred indoors among Wano characters including Shinobu, where voices declared that allying with people who share their goal is a miracle and that losing assistance would prevent carrying out Lord Oden's wishes.1516

Kanjuro confesses to being a spy who never existed as the real Kanjuro in the group's eyes and reveals his full identity as Kanjuro Kurozumi while attacking and confirming information sent to Orochi. He takes Momonosuke away and engages in direct clashes with Ashura Doji and Kin'emon before his final actions under Orochi's orders.177

Kanjuro later confessed his true name as Kanjuro Kurozumi while revealing he had been feeding information to Orochi. He mocked the group's trust and confirmed details sent ahead, noting that Orochi had stopped him from fully revealing his identity earlier. Allies reacted with disbelief and anger, shouting accusations that he had leaked plans and caused unnecessary deaths including Yasuie's.1819

Kurozumi Kanjuro maintained close ties with Kin'emon throughout their travels, including climbing the elephant's leg together on a cat-shaped drawing while urging the construct onward despite tremors and water that threatened to melt it. Kin'emon addressed him directly about their destination and later expressed shock upon realizing the extent of the deception during the confession.2021

Kanjuro served Shogun Orochi as a spy, receiving orders to bring Momonosuke to Onigashima and later agreeing to perform a final show depicting the burning wrath of the Kurozumi clan. Orochi praised the performance as masterful and greeted Kanjuro upon recognition after subordinates confirmed he was Orochi's man.2223

Kurozumi Kanjuro engaged Ashura Doji in direct physical combat after being labeled Shogun Orochi's betrayer. He admitted long-term deception against the Kozuki clan while laughing and drawing his blade, declaring a beautiful life-long performance and fitting finale. Ashura Doji charged through debris yelling Kanjuro's name in rage during the clash.2425

Kanjuro fought Kin'emon in an armored form after being identified as the impostor by Kiku. He hesitated to deliver a fatal blow to Kin'emon and internally noted he could not bring himself to cut his best friend. Kin'emon delivered a sword strike while roaring Kanjuro's name, filled with rage and betrayal, as Kanjuro asked if Wano's dawn would still shine in the afterlife.2627
