Diamante
Diamante is an Elite Officer of the Donquixote Family and the Hero of the Corrida Colosseum. He serves under Donquixote Doflamingo and participates in the family's operations in Dressrosa, including oversight of the colosseum and enforcement of the family's control. Diamante is known for his role in managing the Battle Brigade army within the organization and for his public persona as a champion fighter who maintains order during tournament events.
Diamante engages in key confrontations during the events surrounding the colosseum tournament and the subsequent upheaval in Dressrosa. He interacts directly with Doflamingo in planning responses to potential threats and later faces opponents in the arena and surrounding areas. His actions include intervening in crowd disturbances and participating in the family's defensive efforts against challengers.
Appearance
Diamante wears a feathered outfit that includes a fur-lined hat and a long flowing cape or mantle. He carries a long glaive as his primary weapon and maintains a tall posture with long hair visible during his appearances in the grand hall and arena settings. His silhouette often dominates scenes when he stands with arms crossed or swings his weapon.123
Diamante's cape billows dramatically during combat and public addresses, emphasizing motion with sharp angular folds. He grips his weapon with visible cross marks when locking it for attacks and appears with a wide grin or intense glare in close-up views.34
Personality
Diamante engages in an exaggerated routine of modesty when interacting with Doflamingo, protesting assignments while ultimately accepting praise for his role. He boasts about his status as the hero of the colosseum and insists on public recognition of his contributions while acknowledging the king.56
Diamante taunts opponents during confrontations, mocking their efforts and referencing past events to provoke emotional responses. He maintains a commanding tone when addressing crowds or fighters who disrupt events, declaring results final and ordering compliance.78
Abilities and powers
Diamante ate the Hira Hira no Mi, which allows him to make any object he touches become floppy and fluttery while retaining its deadly properties such as steel edges. He demonstrates this by explaining that his mantle flaps lightly yet remains lethal, and he uses the ability on confetti that transforms into spiked steel balls capable of scattering across a battlefield.9710
Diamante wields a long glaive that he spins after locking the mechanism, unleashing attacks such as the Corrida Glaive. He blocks strikes even when his blade appears missing and continues assaults with chain attacks despite sustaining injuries.9711
History
Colosseum operations
During the events surrounding the Colosseum tournament Diamante waited in the standby room while discussing Luffy's participation. He framed Bellamy's new assassination order as a generous second chance offered by Doflamingo. Later Diamante appeared with Doflamingo and the other executives when they arrived dramatically in Dressrosa.1213
Dressrosa takeover
Ten years before the present conflict Diamante joined Doflamingo and the other executives in overthrowing the Riku royal army in Dressrosa. Doflamingo ordered Diamante along with Pica and Trebol to eliminate the country's trash after the executives descended amid the chaos. The three top officers were later remembered by survivors as the ones who annihilated the Dressrosa army.1415
North Blue encounter
Sixteen years before the main events Diamante and Trebol encountered a young Law in a North Blue port town near a waste processing plant. They mocked the boy's terminal illness and learned he intended to kill as many people as possible in his remaining time. Diamante stood with Trebol as the boy declared his violent intentions.16
Relationships
Doflamingo
Diamante maintains a subordinate role to Doflamingo and receives direct orders during the takeover of Dressrosa. He is listed among the executives trained by the family and is referenced alongside Trebol when voices announce their return. Doflamingo's commands position Diamante as one of the three top executives tasked with removing opposition.1718
Law
Diamante trained Law in swordplay as part of the family's instruction. Law later recalls this training while rejecting the family's influence and credits Cora instead for his current path. Diamante appears in memories of Law's early days with the group alongside Trebol.16
Rebecca
Diamante confronts Rebecca directly during the palace events and declares himself her opponent with aggressive intent. He refuses her entry to the palace and later mocks her bloodline while ordering her death in the sunflower field. Rebecca vows never to forgive Diamante after the confrontation.1920
Major battles
Diamante intervenes in arena disturbances by attacking protesting fighters with his glaive and ability, establishing control over the colosseum stage. He later duels Rebecca, blocking her strike and landing direct hits while discarding a small box and referencing past events involving her family.921
Diamante clashes with Kyros in the Level 4 Sunflower Field, using weapon techniques that cause large impacts and releasing spiked confetti attacks. He continues fighting while laughing and taunting until struck decisively, after which he is reported defeated.221023
