Gedatsu possesses an antenna beard and typically keeps his eyes closed during explanations though they roll back during confrontations. He wears a dark jacket paired with a light sash and spotted belt while his wings remain visible on his back. A framed label consistently identifies him as Skypiea Priest Squad Leader Gedatsu.12

During intense moments Gedatsu displays swirling spiky hair and wide glaring eyes with an open mouth showing teeth. His facial expressions shift rapidly from fury to shock with heavy shading and sweat drops appearing on his forehead. These visual traits accompany his dramatic posture when declaring his status.23

Gedatsu frequently crosses his arms in an incorrect posture above his chest which draws correction from his attendant who warns of fatigue. He repeats phrases such as SU KA while offering his swamp trial and dismisses other priests' trials as unworthy and dull. These habits illustrate his absent-minded nature during formal declarations.45

Gedatsu often thinks declarations internally rather than speaking them aloud prompting his ally to yell reminders. He questions enemy abilities such as invisibility while maintaining a stern demeanor after setbacks and calls opponents names like damned raccoon when launched backward. These patterns highlight his thoughtless approach to combat communication.67

Gedatsu plants swamp cloud traps across his territory that appear light yet prove inescapable and sticky once entered. He remains immune to the substance himself and activates Cloud Dial devices embedded in his shoes to propel upward in flight. These abilities form the core of his Trial of Swamp which he claims carries a fifty percent survival rate.86

Gedatsu employs extinct Jet Dial technology to boost the speed and power of his Axe Dial punches though the enhancement damages his suit. He launches attacks from both hands and shoes while using wing flaps during descent maneuvers. In aerial combat he combines Swamp Cloud Burger techniques with enhanced punches to overwhelm opponents.910

Gedatsu explains the Speed Shrimp's role as God's servant that transports victims to the Sacrificial Altar. He states the Super-Express Speed Shrimp serves God and carries sacrifices while revealing the shrimp transports victims to the Sacrificial Altar in northeast Upper Yard.1112

Gedatsu stands among Enel's four priests when the former god is captured and dismissed as unfit for labor. Enel orders the priests to dump Gan Fall and assign the old militia to manual work while claiming the shrine for himself. This event marks Gedatsu's early service under the new ruler of Skypiea.13

Gedatsu maintains a subordinate relationship with a winged attendant who repeatedly corrects his posture and reminds him to speak thoughts aloud rather than keeping them internal. The attendant warns that crossing arms above the chest will cause fatigue and points out when Gedatsu's eyes are not facing forward during encounters. A winged figure tells Gedatsu his eyes are misplaced and later refers to a previous encounter with Gedatsu while commenting that the spiderhead is too careless and observes the defeat of Gedatsu.212223

Gedatsu appears with a winged Skypiean figure with horns and long tongue shouting beside him while grinning widely while holding a weapon in the foreground during the final volume of his carefree life in blue seas.2425

Gedatsu lunges forward with weapon drawn when Luffy stretches an arm to wrap around him resulting in Gedatsu becoming trapped inside a rapidly spinning coiled sphere. During the confrontation with Chopper he plants swamp cloud traps across his territory and activates Cloud Dial devices in his shoes to achieve flight after sinking into one of his own traps.2620

During the aerial phase Gedatsu executes a CROSS counterattack that overwhelms Chopper while claiming aerial superiority. Chopper's Jet Punch ultimately launches Gedatsu backward prompting a final insult before the priest is defeated. The battle ends with Gedatsu's loss in the Skypiea priest confrontation.277
