Gan Fall
Gan Fall is the former God of Skypiea who now serves as the Knight of the Sky. He rides the winged horse Pierre and assists those escaping Enel's rule while seeking to end longstanding conflicts. He is known for his past efforts toward peace with the Shandians and for guiding the Straw Hats through key events on the sky island.
Throughout his time in the narrative Gan Fall recounts centuries of war over Upper Yard and his own transition from ruler to armored protector. His actions include direct confrontations with priests and former allies as well as reflective conversations about the island's history and the nature of leadership.
Appearance
Gan Fall wears full armor and a helmet featuring vertical slits along with flower-like side ornaments. A long beard frames his face and a dark cape flows behind him during flights. He is frequently shown in profile or close-up with a stern expression while mounted on his steed.12
When not in combat Gan Fall appears in a sleeveless outfit paired with a large helmet that includes antennae and goggles along with wings on his back. He holds a ladle while pouring pumpkin juice from a gourd in domestic settings.3
Personality
Gan Fall maintains a reflective outlook shaped by decades of conflict and his failed peace initiatives with the Shandians. He calmly explains that in extreme cases a hero during war becomes a murderer in peace and recalls his pirate friend from twenty years earlier with regret over their parting.4
Gan Fall demonstrates a protective and service-oriented nature by declaring he would be the knight of the sky and vowing to temporarily care for a girl so she would not be attacked. He politely accepts thanks while apologizing for causing trouble during conversations with Conis and Pagaya.54
Abilities and powers
Gan Fall rides the winged horse Pierre whose Uma Uma Fruit allows horse transformation and uses this mobility for aerial travel and combat above the clouds. He wields a lance in midair exchanges and later switches to sword attacks after identifying dial types used by opponents.67
Gan Fall engages directly in battle against priests such as Shura and Ohm while mounted and on foot. He confronts opponents in the Upper Yard ruins and continues fighting even after being knocked back or subjected to heavy body effects during aerial combat.89
History
Time as God
Gan Fall states that Upper Yard land remains essential to Skypiea in the present era. He notes that he held the title of God until six years prior and had previously attempted to achieve peace with Shandia during his time in that role, including through connections with pirate visitors approximately twenty years earlier.1011

Ancient origins
Gan Fall recounts that Skypiea existed as a peaceful sky island prior to the arrival of Upper Yard roughly four hundred years ago. The land's appearance was viewed as a miracle and divine gift by sky people, yet it already held residents known as the Shandians from the ancient civilization of Jaya. This situation initiated a prolonged war over the territory that continued for centuries.14
Relationships
Gan Fall shares a meal and conversation with Conis and her father while offering pumpkin juice from his garden. He discusses the nature of pirates and different kinds of people across worlds in a calm manner during this exchange.15
Gan Fall addresses Wiper directly in the ruins of Shandora after the conflicts conclude. He advises patience regarding the situation and emphasizes that the current sky serves as home for those living there now, regardless of past wars, while noting that Vearth rejects no one.16
Major battles
Gan Fall joins an ongoing fight with a sword attack after identifying dial types and declares there is no need to wait before striking. He later attempts to reason with Wiper during their direct clash and reacts angrily to Enel's electrical assault that defeats his forces.1718
Gan Fall clashes with Shura in midair lance combat and is later overpowered by a spotted-armor fighter along with a masked fighter resulting in severe injuries on the ground beside his wounded steed Pierre. He also confronts Ohm directly in the Upper Yard ruins while warning that reaching the God's shrine would gain nothing.1920

Confrontation with Enel
Gan Fall confronts Enel in a direct exchange where he rejects the notion of a god for the country and declares that the sky country violates natural laws by existing above the proper places of earth men and god. He argues against Enel's plan and states his intent to send everyone below the sky in accordance with the law of nature.23
