Chapter 244 summary
Luffy, Sanji, and Usopp walk through Lovely Street on Angel Island with Conis and her cloud fox Su, noting how the Skypieans avoid them. They pass a large idol called Vearth before reaching the port, where Conis lends them the small boat Karasu-maru after they reject a fancier gondola. Conis trembles and admits she summoned the Super-Express Speed Shrimp that took Nami and the others as part of her civic duty. Usopp and Sanji react with shock and anger while Luffy questions why she helped them anyway. A massive lightning bolt from Enel strikes the port, but Gan Fall arrives on his bird Pierre and carries Luffy and Conis to safety. Gan Fall leaves Conis in his care and departs as Luffy, Sanji, and Usopp board the Karasu-maru and set off for Upper Yard. Conis watches them go and calls out for Gan Fall to return.
