Chapter 245 summary
Luffy, Sanji and Usopp ride the Going Merry along the milky road as it enters a vast forest marked by giant skull totems. They pass wrecked ships and face sudden attacks from swinging scythes and a giant praying mantis, then dodge massive spiked iron balls that drop from the trees. Luffy deflects one ball with a Gomu Gomu Bazooka, allowing the ship to reach a stone wall with four tunnels labeled Trial of Swamp, Trial of Iron, Trial of String and Trial of Balls. Meanwhile Zoro fights a giant sky shark underwater and punches it away after surfacing. The group finds the Going Merry stranded on a sacrificial altar in a cloud lake, where Zoro, Nami and Robin decide to explore the forest while leaving Chopper to repair the ship. The three swing across on vines and enter the woods, after which Chopper, left alone, realizes he faces the greatest danger.
