Izo

Izo has dark hair and maintains a serious expression as an adult. He wears an ornate coat along with a headband and carries dual pistols during combat situations. His long hair flows visibly when he moves through the air on a bird-like creature above the burning castle.123

In flashbacks Izo appears as a young child alongside his sibling with neutral expressions. He is shown scarfing oden with tears streaming down his face during an early encounter. As an adult he wears a dark cloak while riding into battle.143

Izo engages in sword combat with drawn blades during clashes on Onigashima. He also uses dual pistols while standing over a fallen opponent and leaps through the air on a flying creature to reach the battlefield.526

Izo intervenes to protect allies by cutting down enemies around Usopp and orders remaining fighters to handle leftover threats. He tells a wounded fighter to live for Luffy's sake while directing Hamlet to move and calling for Usopp to keep the injured safe.78

Izo speaks with concern about the lack of information leaving Wano despite newspaper reports and hopes that Kin and the others remain alright. Oden responds by suggesting that Izo should return to Wano sometime soon for the sake of Lady Toki and Lord Momonosuke while noting that he has not yet found the answer he is looking for.9

Whitebeard grows furious at the idea of Roger taking a member of his family yet ultimately grants Oden the freedom to choose. Oden smiles and moves with Toki, Momonosuke, Hiyori, Inuarashi, Nekomamushi, and Izo from Whitebeard's world to Roger's final voyage after the crews part with laughter and promises to see each other again.10

Izo shares a close sibling bond with Kikunojo from their time in the Hanayagi dance school. Young Izo declared that Kikunojo should be his samurai while Kikunojo refused and wanted everyone. In the present Izo comments on Kikunojo's samurai appearance with warmth during their reunion.1718

Izo served as a retainer to Kozuki Oden and protested Oden's decision to leave Wano. Toki already knew about Izo from Inu and Neko and stated she was sure Izo would be happy. Izo later protected allies including Kinemon and Kiku while directing others to keep them safe.192021

A retainer recounts how Izo and Kikunojo danced on streets but faced scorn from locals after their father the head of the Hanayagi dance school was arrested. Young Izo declares that Kikunojo should be his samurai while Kikunojo snaps back that he would rather have everyone.2223

Toki states she cannot find Izo along with Inuarashi or Nekomamushi. In a later reunion on Onigashima Izo tells Kikunojo that he has turned into a great samurai while Kikunojo sniffs about how splendid a samurai Kikunojo has become.2423

An impostor claims he took in Kiku and Izo as children and demands to know where their parents are while insisting he remembers taking them in. Kiku shouts for the impostor to stop calling her that while wearing his face and clashes swords declaring that the impostor cannot be serious.2526

Izo appears shouting that everything is for this hopeless war and confronts CP0 agents after dragging himself through wreckage while hoping his actions allowed Kiku and Kinemon to escape. He recognizes the masked agents as Cipher Pol from the Aegis 0 branch and warns them to stop not another step after they suggest pretending they never saw each other.2728

Izo apologizes for the announcement during the battle and later appears with flowing cloak and dual pistols drawn in a dramatic mid-air pose while standing protectively over a fallen ally. Multiple close-up panels show intense male faces shouting Izo as the scarred man with open mouth yells in the lower left.293031

Wounded Izo lies on rubble-strewn ground with visible injuries and retorts defiantly about the enemy plan to sacrifice one of their own when a wide-hatted CP0 agent shouts angrily at him. Izo is recognized and confronted by the agents as a surviving Whitebeard crew member fighting CP0.323334
