Luffy escaped Impel Down with help from Mr. 3, Ivankov, Jimbei and the other escapees. The final breakout in chapter 547 combines a brief opening against Magellan, an aerial exit from the prison and a crossing to a stolen ship on whale sharks. ch. 547, pp. 12–14
Luffy uses Gear Third while Mr. 3 raises a giant wax wall to push back Magellan's Venom Demon. The barrier begins dissolving, so Ivankov's Wink propels the prisoners out over the sea. Jimbei's whale sharks then carry them across the water. They escape through coordinated help, rather than by Luffy defeating Magellan. ch. 547, pp. 12–14
