CHAPTER 32 “GRAVE DANGER”. The title page displays a large, dynamic illustration. Nami lounges confidently on an ornate wooden chair, legs crossed, holding a feathered fan to her smiling face while wearing a floral cheongsam-style dress and earrings. Luffy appears mid-action, upside down with one foot extended toward the viewer and a wide grin. Below him stands a stern man in dark clothing gripping a long weapon, his expression serious. A large dragon-like figure looms in the background on the right side of the composition.

In a forest clearing, Nami stands with a shocked expression, shouting “OH NO, THAT GUY TOOK ZORO'S KATANAS!!!” A masked figure in a black tank top sits nearby with a large exclamation mark above his head. The scene shifts to a rocky cliffside area. A man in a striped shirt and dark pants stands with his back partially turned, gripping one drawn katana. Facing him, a crouched enemy in a helmet and dark outfit holds two swords and taunts, “ISN'T YOUR KATANA ALREADY IN YOUR HANDI” and “GIVE THEM BACKI” The striped-shirt man yells back, “GIVE ME BACK MY KATANAS....!!!” Two small background figures watch from the left near the rocks and trees.

A masked man in a black cap stares silently with a stern expression. Nearby, a blonde woman wearing a cat-eared hat and dark outfit grips two katanas and mutters, "...I SHOULD..." She then brightens and says, "OH RIGHT, BEFORE THE BATTLE STARTS..." With a grin she declares, "THROW!" and hurls one sword aside, adding, "GET THIS JUNK OUT OF THE WAY." The blade spins through the air and lands on the ground. On a forest path lined with tall trees, two distant figures stand as large sound effects erupt: "カラン...!!" and "カン...!!" A close-up reveals the masked man's face twisted in fury, the word "PISSED..." hovering beside him.

The cat-eared woman licks her blade and remarks, "DON'T TREAT OTHERS' KATANAS..." followed by "NOW THAT'S BETTER..." and "LICK!" She finishes with "OKAY..." A huge "SFX: SLASH!!" erupts as the masked man is struck and sent flying backward, his body twisting from the force. He cries out "AH!!I" while motion lines and debris fill the panel.

A Black Cat Pirate wearing a cat-ear mask and cape spreads his clawed hands and declares, "IT'S MY TURN NOW....!!" Behind him stands another pirate in a dark coat and hat. Nearby, a blonde girl with a headband stares in shock as someone exclaims, "WOW, POW-ER-FUL!!" In a wide action panel, the horned pirate launches a powerful flying kick, his body twisting mid-air with a sword at his side. The scene cuts to a close-up of a wide-eyed, sweating face reacting with "!!!I" A clawed hand slashes through the air. The katana-wielding pirate, crouched low with blades drawn, shouts in fury, "HOW COULD HE TREAT MY KATANAS LIKE THIS!!" and "DAMN IT..."

A voice apologizes, "SORRY, SORRY!" The striped pirate snaps, "YOU SHOULD HOLD HIM DOWN PROPERLY, SHAM!!"

The massive striped pirate looms with claws bared, declaring "OF COURSE" while the long-tongued fighter licks her lips and vows "THIS TIME I WON'T LET HIM ESCAPE". They charge together. "GIVE IT TO HIM, SHAM!!" the big pirate roars. The fighter answers "LET'S DO IT! BUCHI!!" Nearby, Kuro draws his single blade, thinking "I'M NOT USED TO FIGHTING WITH ONLY ONE KATANA, BUT I HAVE NO CHOICE..."

A special Q&A page features Monkey D. Luffy holding large signs labeled "QUESTIONS" and "ANSWERS." Reader questions ask why Zoro wears a haramaki and who "ITOO MIKIO" is, noting appearances in One Piece, Butsu Zone, and Rurouni Kenshin. The answer reveals that "ITOO MIKIO" is the same person across all three works—a wanted man with a 1,000,000 bounty who fought alongside his friend through the desert; his sharp shooting saved his friend many times, and he will appear in the future. A small wanted poster of Mikio Itoo is shown.

Chapter 32 summary

Nami and Usopp watch in panic as Sham throws Zoro's katanas far away during their fight on the rocky slope. Zoro lunges at Sham in fury over the disrespect to his swords, but Sham evades with unnatural flexibility and traps Zoro in a leg hold around his neck. Buchi then leaps in with a powerful drop kick that cracks the ground, though Zoro barely escapes the impact. Sham and Buchi press a rapid claw assault on Zoro, forcing him onto the defensive with his single sword. Usopp fires a slingshot pellet to help but hits Zoro instead when Sham uses him as a shield, allowing Sham to slash Zoro across the chest and drop him to the ground. Nami runs to retrieve the discarded katanas, but Captain Kuro suddenly appears and crushes her to the dirt. Sham and Buchi freeze in terror at Kuro's arrival as he demands to know why the plan has not been carried out. Kuro stands over the scene in rage while Luffy remains asleep nearby.
