Chapter 396 summary
The Buster Call strikes Ohara as warships bombard the island and villagers flee toward evacuation ships. Spandine orders his agents to eliminate Robin after learning she claimed to be an archaeologist. Robin and Olvia reunite amid the smoke and share a brief embrace while Clover urges Olvia to escape with her daughter. Saul arrives and tells Olvia to take Robin away, but Olvia stays behind to explain that the scholars must pass on Ohara's history even if the island perishes. Robin refuses to leave her mother, and Olvia bids her farewell before Saul confronts the Marines about the unjust attack. Saul defects, grabs Olvia and Robin, and questions the government's orders as pursuit begins. When the Marines fire on them, Saul shields Robin from a shell and then lifts a warship to hurl it back at his former allies.
