Chapter 399 summary
The Straw Hats stand above Enies Lobby after burning the World Government flag and shout that they will rescue Robin at any cost as the drawbridge begins to descend. Their allies in the towers pull the levers to lower it while Paulie fights the three-headed presiding judge Baskerville and sends the trio flying after exposing that three men are stuck together. The bridge mechanism stops midway when Spandam drags Robin toward the Tower of Justice and orders CP9 to seize Franky. Franky pulls out the Pluton blueprints from his body then sets them on fire to place his wager on the Straw Hats. His family arrives below and cheers for him while he breaks down in tears. Spandam throws Franky from the tower as Kokoro urges the crew to jump into the fall with the Rocketman. The Straw Hats leap from the courthouse side as the sea train charges forward and jumps the gap toward the Tower of Justice.
