One Piece Chapter 118: Somebody's Here

The story resumes with the giant Dorry standing tall, gripping his massive sword and shield. He is panting heavily, and a large 'DOOOM!!' sound effect emphasizes his imposing presence. Vivi, standing on the ground below with Luffy, yells up at him frantically, 'PLEASE LISTEN TO US, MR. DORRY! WE'RE JUST AS CLUELESS AS TO WHY THAT RUM EXPLODED! BUT YOU HAVE TO STAY PUT FOR NOW! THE INSIDES OF YOUR BODY ARE DAMAGED ENOUGH ALREADY FROM THAT EXPLOSION JUST NOW!' Dorry glares down at them, his eye wide with fury, coughing as he breathes. Luffy looks up at the giant with a fierce, angry expression, muttering, 'HOW DARE YOU...!'

Ignoring Vivi's desperate pleas, Dorry raises his enormous broadsword high above his head and swings it down towards Luffy with devastating force. 'YOU DESPICABLE LITTLE...!' the giant roars, his face contorted in anger. Luffy reacts instantly, dashing out of the way just as the massive blade crashes into the ground where he was standing. 'DASH!' A massive cloud of dust and debris erupts from the impact, obscuring the area. Dorry continues to cough violently, blood spurting from his mouth due to his severe internal injuries, but he refuses to halt his attack.

Luffy leaps high into the air, positioning himself above the towering Dorry. He pulls his right arm far back, preparing to launch a powerful counterattack. 'GOMU GOMU...' he begins to shout, his eyes locked on his target. However, Dorry anticipates the move and swiftly swings his large, heavy shield upward in a defensive arc. The solid metal shield slams directly into Luffy while he is still mid-air, catching him completely off guard. 'UGH!' Luffy grunts loudly as the powerful, bone-jarring blow connects, instantly interrupting his attack and sending shockwaves through his body.

The immense force of Dorry's shield strike sends Luffy hurtling backward through the air, completely out of control. 'NGHH!' Luffy groans as he flies backward. 'SWOOSH!' 'WHOA!' he yells, tumbling wildly through the dense jungle canopy, snapping branches as he goes. Dorry doesn't give him a single moment to recover; the giant immediately follows up his shield bash by swinging his massive sword down again with a loud, exertion-filled 'HAHH!'. The giant blade smashes into the jungle floor in the direction Luffy was thrown, causing further destruction and kicking up more debris.

As he flies backward through the air, Luffy manages to catch himself by stretching both of his arms out wide and grabbing onto the sturdy trunks of two distant palm trees. 'GOMU GOMU...' he says, pulling his arms taut to turn his entire body into a giant, human slingshot. With a determined, focused look on his face, he says, 'SORRY ABOUT THIS.' Breathing heavily with a 'HUFF...', he releases his grip on the trees and launches himself forward at incredible speed. 'ROCKET!!' he shouts as he shoots directly back towards Dorry, leaving a trail of dust in his wake.

Luffy rockets through the air like a missile, heading straight for Dorry's midsection. Dorry raises his sword, attempting to strike the incoming pirate, but Luffy is moving far too fast for the injured giant to track. Luffy slams headfirst directly into Dorry's stomach with tremendous, concentrated force. 'URGHHHH!' Dorry groans as the impact hits his already severely damaged internal organs. 'AGAHHHH' 'GAH!' the giant cries out, his eyes bulging as he doubles over in agonizing pain. Luffy bounces off Dorry's stomach and lands safely on his feet on the ground, looking up with a confused 'HUH?' as he watches the giant's extreme reaction to the attack.

The single blow proves to be too much for the already critically injured giant. Dorry falls heavily to his knees, clutching his stomach and coughing up copious amounts of blood. 'KA... HAH...' he pants, struggling desperately to stay conscious. He looks down at Luffy, realizing the nature of his opponent, and says, 'A DEVIL FRUIT USER, WERE YOU NOW...!' Vivi watches the scene unfold in absolute shock, yelling 'LUFFY!?' in disbelief. Unable to hold himself up any longer, Dorry's eyes roll back and he collapses completely, falling face-first toward the ground. 'HOW CARELESS OF ME...!' he mutters in defeat as he descends.

Dorry's massive body hits the ground with a thunderous 'DOOOM!!', kicking up a huge, billowing cloud of dust that obscures the surrounding jungle. Luffy sits on the ground nearby, panting 'GASP!' with visible steam radiating from his body after the intense physical exertion. Vivi runs over to him, deeply concerned for both of them. 'LUFFY! HOW'S HE? ARE YOU ALRIGHT!?' she asks frantically. Luffy looks calmly at the fallen giant's massive form and replies reassuringly, 'I THINK HE'LL BE FINE. DON'T WORRY, YOU DID THE RIGHT THING. HE WOULDN'T HAVE CALMED DOWN OTHERWISE.'

Luffy's expression shifts from calm reassurance to intense, burning anger. He clenches his fists, his eyes shadowed by his straw hat, and declares, 'I'M REAL PISSED OFF!' He looks back at Dorry's unconscious form and states firmly, 'IT WASN'T THE OTHER GIANT, WHO PLACED A BOMB INSIDE THAT BARREL OF RUM. AND MY CREWMATES WOULD NEVER HAVE DONE SUCH A LOW ACT!' He then turns his gaze towards the dense jungle, his eyes narrowing as he pieces the puzzle together. 'HM? IT'S AS THE MISTER HERE SAID. SOMEBODY ELSE, IS ON THIS ISLAND...'

In another part of the dense jungle, a large, green dinosaur resembling a T-Rex is suddenly engulfed in a thick, white substance that looks like rapidly melting wax. The dinosaur struggles wildly and cries out 'GA... KAH KAH!' as the wax rapidly hardens around it, completely encasing the massive beast in a solid, inescapable block. A voice from off-panel commands arrogantly, 'MOVE IT, YOU BIG FAT LIZARD.' Mr. 5 is shown in a close-up, smirking confidently from behind his sunglasses as he watches the creature get trapped.

The dinosaur is now fully trapped within a giant, hardened block of white wax, only its eye visible through the translucent material. Miss Valentine floats down gracefully from above, holding her signature umbrella. 'LEAVE IT TO ME,' she says with a smile. She positions herself directly over the wax block and shouts, '10,000 KG PRESS!' as she drops down with immense, concentrated weight. The devastating impact shatters the top of the wax structure, crushing the dinosaur underneath in an explosion of debris. At the base of the remaining wax formation, a small, perfectly formed door swings open.

Inside the hollowed-out wax structure, which has been meticulously furnished to look like a comfortable, high-end living room complete with a tea set, Mr. 3 sits relaxed in a chair, drinking tea and reading a book. Miss Goldenweek sits nearby on the floor, quietly eating rice crackers. 'AH, SO YOU'VE RETURNED, HAVE YOU MR. 5?' Mr. 3 says calmly, not looking up from his book. Outside the open door, Mr. 5 and Miss Valentine stand looking in. Mr. 5 remarks, 'HMPH, AN IMPRESSIVE LITTLE ABILITY YOU'VE GOT THERE, INSTANTLY CRAFTING A HIDEOUT IN THESE JUNGLES... LET ME MAKE ONE THING CLEAR TO YOU RIGHT NOW. THIS MISSION IS STILL OURS TO COMPLETE SO I'D APPRECIATE IT IF YOU DIDN'T INTERFERE.' Miss Valentine adds confidently, 'WE WON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE TWICE.'

Mr. 5 yells angrily at Mr. 3, 'WHAT!? YOU FAILED BECAUSE YOU ARE WEAK. MISTAKES? THAT'S A LITTLE OFF, ISN'T IT? IT'S BECAUSE WE CARELESSLY LET OUR GUARDS DOWN! WE HAD NO IDEA THE PRINCESS WOULD HAVE PIRATE ESCORTS!' Miss Goldenweek sits silently nearby while Mr. 3 calmly takes a sip of his tea and replies condescendingly, 'HAD NO IDEA!? HMPH, WHAT CHILDISH EXCUSES YOU RESORT TO, DON'T YOU THINK? MIGHT I REMIND YOU THAT WE ARE PROFESSIONALS. TO LOSE TO OUR ENEMIES IS AN ACT AS SHAMEFUL AS REVEALING OUR ORGANIZATION'S EXISTENCE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC. THE MISSIONS WE UNDERTAKE MUST BE ACCOMPLISHED PERFECTLY WITH NO CARELESS MISTAKES, YOU REALIZE? HOWEVER, CONSIDERING YOU SUCCESSFULLY MANAGED TO TAIL OUR TARGETS TO THIS ISLAND, I SHALL GRANT YOU WITH 30% OF THE PAY FOR THIS MISSION.' Mr. 3's expression then turns menacing as he glares at them. 'BUT IF YOU STILL WISH FOR ME TO NOT INTERFERE, I'M AFRAID I'LL HAVE TO TAKE SOME ACTIONS AS TO HAVE YOU TWO NEVER INTERFERE WITH ME AGAIN.'

Intimidated by Mr. 3's threat, Mr. 5 and Miss Valentine sweat nervously, uttering a quiet 'UGH...' Miss Goldenweek remains seated nearby, snoozing quietly. Mr. 3's demeanor instantly switches back to polite hospitality. 'MR. 5, MISS VALENTINE. HMPH... NO NEED TO MAKE SUCH A SCOWLING FACE, HELP YOURSELF TO SOME OF THIS BLACK TEA,' he says, pouring tea for them. 'THERE IS A MOST FORTUITOUS OPPORTUNITY FOR US ON THIS ISLAND. AN OPPORTUNITY TO MAKE SUCH AN ENORMOUS SUM OF MONEY THAT WE NEED NOT FIGHT OVER IT. I'M SURE YOU'VE ALREADY SEEN WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT, HAVEN'T YOU?' Mr. 5, calming down, replies, 'YOU HAVE MY SINCEREST THANKS FOR GIVING ME THIS CHANCE TO COME TO THIS ISLAND.' Mr. 3 then holds up two old, tattered wanted posters. 'TAKE A LOOK AT THESE WANTED POSTERS...! TO BE HONEST, EVEN I WAS COMPLETELY TAKEN ABACK WHEN I FIRST SAW IT...' The posters clearly show the faces of the giants Dorry and Brogy.

Mr. 3 explains the significance of the posters to Mr. 5 and Miss Valentine while Miss Goldenweek sits nearby. 'THESE ARE WANTED POSTERS FROM A HUNDRED YEARS AGO. THERE WAS ONCE A GROUP OF GIANT PIRATES WHO PILLAGED TOWN AFTER TOWN AND TERRIFIED THE ENTIRE WORLD... THEY WERE CALLED THE WARRIOR GIANT PIRATES AND THE TWO GIANTS WHO LED THIS FIENDISH PIRATE CREW ARE ON THE VERY ISLAND WE'RE ON. KNOWN AS "DORRY THE BLUE OGRE" AND "BROGY THE RED OGRE," THEIR NAMES HAVE LONG SINCE FADED AWAY INTO MERE LEGENDS OF THE PAST... HOWEVER, THEY ARE STILL ALIVE...! NOT ONLY THAT, THE BOUNTIES PLACED ON THEIR HEADS HAVE NOT BEEN CALLED OFF EITHER... PRESENTLY, EACH ONE OF THEIR HEADS IS WORTH 100 MILLION BELI...! IN SHORT, 200 MILLION FOR THE TWO OF THEM!'

Mr. 5 is visibly shocked by the revelation. '200 MILLION!?' he exclaims, with Miss Valentine and Miss Goldenweek beside him. Mr. 3 smirks, pleased with their reaction. '...FINALLY, YOU GRASP THE GRAVITY OF OUR CURRENT CIRCUMSTANCES. IF WE WERE TO SUCCEED IN OUR MISSION AND BRING BACK 200 MILLION BELI ON TOP OF THAT, OUR PROMOTIONS ARE SURE TO BE GUARANTEED.' Mr. 5 connects the dots, 'SO THAT'S WHY YOU PLACED THE BOMB IN THEIR RUM...' Mr. 3 confirms, 'EXACTLY. AFTER ALL, WE WOULD STAND NO FIGHTING CHANCE WERE WE TO FACE THEM HEAD ON, YOU SEE? ALL YOU TWO NEED TO DO IS FOLLOW MY COMMANDS. WITH A LITTLE SCHEMING, EVEN AN ENTIRE MOUNTAIN CAN BE LEVELLED DOWN TO THE GROUND, YOU KNOW?'

Suddenly, the central volcano on the island erupts with a massive, violent explosion, sending a huge plume of dark smoke and debris high into the sky with a deafening 'DOOOOM!!'. Vivi looks up at the mountain in alarm, 'AH... IT'S THAT SAME VOLCANO AGAIN...!' Luffy also looks up, surprised by the sudden noise, exclaiming 'HUH!?'. Elsewhere on the island, Brogy sees the eruption and laughs heartily, his face lighting up. 'GABABABABA! IT'S THE SIGNAL FOR BATTLE! AIN'T TODAY QUITE EXCITING!' Back with Luffy and Vivi, Dorry, who is still lying battered on the ground, speaks up weakly but with resolve. 'HA, THAT GOES FOR BOTH HIM AND ME!' Vivi is shocked by his determination to continue. 'YOU'RE GOING TO FIGHT? BUT WHAT ABOUT THE INJURIES YOU JUST RECEIVED...!?'

Brogy continues to laugh uproariously, fully prepared for their century-long duel to resume. 'GABABABABA! MAKING SUCH EXCUSES IN A RELENTLESS FIGHT TO THE DEATH, WOULD ONLY TARNISH ONE'S HONOUR!' he declares proudly. Meanwhile, Dorry struggles immensely to push himself up off the ground, his massive body battered, bruised, and bleeding heavily. Vivi pleads with him desperately, tears in her eyes, 'MISTER, WAIT! DON'T GO! YOU HAVE TO STAY PUT! IF YOU DON'T, YOU COULD DIE!' Despite his severe, life-threatening injuries and coughing up more blood, Dorry manages to stand tall, gripping his sword and shield firmly. 'HERE STANDS, THE WARRIOR DORRY, WHO VOWS TO GIVE A FIGHT... COUGH COUGH! WORTHY OF ELBAF'S HONOUR!'
