Caesar realizes the Straw Hats and their allies have escaped the cage and invaded the laboratory, prompting him to order the accessway gate between A-Block and B-Block closed while directing his men to destroy the outer wall of A-Block so Shinokuni can flow inside. Chopper runs through the passages with a sedative after receiving a note about the escape. Luffy knocks aside the centaur-like gatekeeper Roon in A-Block as the group pushes deeper. Law warns the others that the closing gate will trap anyone left behind, and the combined Straw Hats, allies, and G-5 Marines fight through opposing forces while racing toward the exit. Tashigi urges the Marines to carry the wounded and hurry, and Brownbeard carries Nami and others as the dragon trails behind. Robin joins the group after Luffy's request, and the alarm intensifies as the gate nearly shuts. Outside the lab, Caesar's forces fire on the A-Block wall, breaching it and sending debris and gas inward while those trapped inside cry out in alarm.
