One Piece Chapter 141: Quack Doctor

Zoro lands from a high leap, swords drawn, as his opponent’s massive boot crashes down. In close-up Zoro smirks confidently, sweat flying, and says “OVER ALREADYI” while another voice replies “HEH…”. The next panel explodes with the giant sound effect ずどんっ!! as Zoro stands amid a battlefield of wrecked cannons and fallen soldiers. Tossing one sword lightly, he mutters “HMPH. CAN'T EVEN GIVE ME A DECENT WORKOUT...” while bodies lie scattered around the snowy, ruined camp.

Nami stares in shock as Usopp and others react with open mouths; someone shouts “YES, EXCELLENT JOB FOLLOWING MY ORDERS, ZORO!” and another voice cries “INCREDIBLE…”. The scene shifts to a snowy town square where townspeople dig frantically with shovels. Dalton stands calmly while a stranger helps; speech bubbles read “HURRY UP AND DIG HIM OUT!”, “EVERYONE GRAB A SHOVEL AND DIG!”, “WE'LL EXPLAIN LATER! Chopper, now transformed into a full reindeer with antlers and a black hat marked with a cross, dashes at top speed through the snow while a voice yells “I'VE GOT TO WARN THE DOCTRESS RIGHT AWAY!” and another shouts “HE'S RUNNING EVEN FASTER! AHHH! HE TRANSFORMED INTO AN ACTUAL REINDEER! AAAWESOME!”. The next scene shows a wrecked room with an overturned table and scattered bottles; a large sound effect はっんっ!! accompanies “SCREECH!” and the cry “IT'S AN EMERGENCY!”. In close-up an elderly woman with a long nose asks “IS THAT SO…”, while Chopper sweats and exclaims “WAPOL IS BACK!”.

Nami breathes a sigh of relief, "THANK GOD..." A fish-man-like figure shouts in panic, "WHO'S DALTONI" while another voice wonders, "THEY FOUND HIMI" In the next panel a figure crashes through the snow yelling, "I'VE FOUND HIM!" and "AH!" The scene shifts to a grand, snow-covered castle. A triumphant voice declares, "NOW LET US COMMENCE THE REVIVAL OF DRUM KINGDOM!" Another exclaims, "LOOK! THE CASTLE'S EXACTLY AS I LEFT IT!" Small figures gather at the base of the towering structure, including a round-bodied creature and a reindeer-like figure, as the revival of the kingdom begins amid falling snow and dramatic impact lines.

Chopper glares angrily, "HMI" A voice reports, "THERE APPEARS TO BE A STRANGE FLAG ON TOP OF THE TOWER...!" and "YOUR MAJESTY," while another notes, "Flap flap." The black pirate flag with skull and crossbones is shown waving, accompanied by the shocked cry, "WHAT HAPPENED TO DRUM KINGDOM'S PROUD FLAG!I" Wapol stands with hands on hips, sneering, "SO YOU'RE HERE, DR. KUREHA, THE ONLY REMAINING SURVIVOR OF MY 'DOCTOR-HUNTS!'" He laughs, "HEEEEE HEE HEE HEE!" and adds, "I BURNED THAT USELESS THING." Kureha's group reacts in shock as Wapol continues, "STILL HAVEN'T LEARNED HOW TO DIE, I SEE!"

Wapol points dramatically, shouting, "NOW GET THE HELL OUT OF THIS COUNTRY!" and "DRUM KINGDOM'S JUST A THING OF THE PAST...!" He declares, "I'VE ALREADY DECIDED... TO MAKE THIS CASTLE HILLILUK'S GRAVE." Chopper glares back, replying, "IT AIN'T A PLACE FOR ROTTEN LITTLE BRATS LIKE YOURSELVES TO LOITER AROUND." In a close-up, Dalton lies wounded as someone cries, "DALTON'S HEARTBEAT... IS ALREADY GONE!" and "WE WERE TOO LATE..." A distant view shows townspeople gathered. Chopper growls, "IT CAN'T BE..." Wapol laughs wildly, "HAHA-HAHAHA! DON'T MAKE ME LAUGH!" Chopper roars in fury, "A GRAVE!I MY MAGNIFICENT CASTLE IS TO BE A GRAVE FOR THAT QUACK DOCTOR!I"

Inside the castle, a voice yells, "IT'S PAYBACK TIME FOR WHAT YOU DID EARLIER!" while another shouts, "Y-YOUR MAJESTY! IT'S THAT STRAW-HAT BOY!" Luffy stands ready as someone screams, "AHH! IT'S HIM!" and "NGHHHHHH!" Dalton's face shows shock, "!!I" Chopper stares wide-eyed, "WHA-" and "AH-" Luffy stretches his arm, yelling, "GOMU GOMU..." and launches a powerful punch with impact lines and "BU-" The hippo-like guard gasps, "!!!!I" as the blow lands. A narration box reads, "THE STORY TO BE TOLD NOW," amid the chaotic fight inside the castle halls.

Six years ago in the Drum Kingdom, a massive castle looms under falling snow as narration recalls the events. In a snowy town street, a cloaked figure with a skull-marked bag runs while coughing, chased by barking dogs. Townspeople gather around a burning house. One man shouts, "I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! NOT ONLY DOES HE ROB ME, BUT HE BURNS MY HOUSE DOWN! DO SOMETHING ABOUT HIM! YOU ARE THE NATIONAL GUARD, AREN'T YOUI" Another replies, "NO, SIR! WE CAN'T FIND HIM ANYWHERE!" A third asks, "DID YOU FIND HIM!I" The narration box states the events transpired in Drum Kingdom.

Dr. Hiluluk, a tall man in a top hat and black coat with a skull-and-crossbones bag, counts money while grumbling, "HMPH! BEING STINGY OVER A MEASLY 50,000!I CHEAP SON OF A..." and "45... 3, 4, 5... 50 THOUSAND BELI, HUH..." In a flashback panel the cloaked figure coughs repeatedly. Hiluluk snaps, "AND SO WHAT IF I ACCIDENTALLY BURNED DOWN YOUR HOUSEI STOP YOUR DAMN COMPLAINING!" A close-up shows his angry face as he mutters "DAMN IT..." The large label reads "QUACK DOCTOR DR. HILULUK" as he walks through the snowy street with his bag.

Inside a house, a sweating man lies in bed muttering "PANT... DAMNIT... PANT... JUST THE THOUGHT OF BEING INDEBTED TO THAT DESPICABLE MONSTER IS..." A woman with curly hair and a child stand nearby; she says "DADDY! THAT DOES IT, I'M CALLING THE MP-20! WHO CARES IF YOU HAVE TO GROVEL TO WAPOL!I IT'S BETTER DYING!" Dr. Hiluluk enters and declares "I'LL EXAMINE HIM." The woman cries "WHAT!I DR. HILULUK!I FROM THE CHIMNEY!I" Hiluluk replies "DON'T WORRY, I PLACE MY PATIENT'S HEALTH FIRST AND FOREMOST." Smoke erupts as he arrives. The family reacts in panic while Hiluluk insists on treating the patient.

Chaos erupts as the woman screams "MOOOOOOOMM!" and the child cries "GYAAAAA!" Hiluluk looms with wild gestures shouting "DON'T BE STUPID, WOMAN!" The bedridden man pleads "I'LL PAY HOW MUCH YOU WANT SO PLEASE JUST LEAVE MY HOME! JUST A TRANQUILIZER. SHE WON'T DIE." Hiluluk examines the patient and says "HMI THAT'S ODD..." then "THEN JUST LEAVE! THAT'S THE BEST WAY YOU CAN HELP ME! I'VE GOT A WIFE AND KID! I CAN'T DIE NOW!" The woman begs "H-HONEY, I'LL GO CALL THE GUARDS!" Outside, guards approach as Hiluluk mutters "CRAP, IT'S THE GUARDS!" and reflects on the frog extract treatment while the family panics.

Under a snowy night sky lit by street lamps, a man in a top hat and long coat walks across a bridge while a figure perches on a sign laughing wildly. A voice calls out, "WELL, AREN'T YOU A HAPPY PAPPY, YOUNG LAD." In close-up the top-hatted man glares as Dr. Kureha, labeled "DR. KUREHA AGE 133," grins and retorts, "SHUT UP, YOU OLD HAG... A DOCTOR WICKED ENOUGH TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF HER PATIENTS AND ROB THEM BLIND." Kureha continues, "IF YOU'D NEVER CALLED YOURSELF A DOCTOR, THERE'D BE ABOUT A HUNDRED PEOPLE WHOSE ILLNESSES WOULD'VE ENDED QUICKLY AS JUST A MINOR COLD. AIN'T NOTHING SCARIER IN THIS WORLD THAN A DOCTOR WHO HASN'T GOT A CLUE AS TO WHAT HE'S DOING." The top-hatted man snaps back, "IS THE LAST PERSON WHO I WANT TO BE LECTURED BY!" From the town below another balloon asks, "DID YOU KNOW THAT YOU AND I ARE NOW THE ONLY DOCTORS IN THIS COUNTRY ASIDE FROM THE MD-20I" Kureha answers, "DON'T BE HATING MY STYLE NOW, KID. BY THE WAY..."

Hiriluk retorts, "HMPH, AS IF THE DOCTOR-HUNTS COULD EVER CATCH ME. JUST YOU WATCH..." while Kureha sits on the railing. She replies, "OF COURSE, EVEN IF IT WEREN'T FOR THAT, YOU'D STILL BE AN OUTCAST IN THIS LAND..." Townspeople spot them: "THERE'S SOMEONE ON THE BRIDGE, SIR!" Hiriluk growls, "CUREI DON'T YOU MEAN DESTROY...I" and declares, "I'LL CURE THIS COUNTRY ONE DAY WITH MY MEDICAL SKILL!" Suddenly an object drops from above with "HOP!" and "DROP" effects. Hiriluk yells, "NOT IF I CAN HELP IT, HIGHWAY-WOMAN!" Panic erupts as someone shouts, "TAKE COVER! AGHH! IT'S A BOMB!"

An explosion rocks the snowy castle grounds. Hiriluk stands amid smoke and impact lines while a figure lies wounded on the ground. He questions, "HMI WHO'RE YOU...I" Rushing to the injured man, Hiriluk opens his medical bag marked with a skull and crossbones and declares, "I'M HERE TO HELP YOU!" The wounded man groans in pain. Hiriluk examines the injuries and states, "NO NEED FOR THE ANGRY GLARE, IT'LL BE ALRIGHT. SEVERE BLOOD LOSS FROM GUNSHOT WOUNDS... HE'LL DIE IF I DON'T STOP THE BLEEDING SOON..."

A massive abominable snowman-like creature rampages through the snow while armed townsfolk shout, "DON'T LET HIM ESCAPE! CHASE AFTER HIM!" "WHAT ARE YOU, BY THE WAY...I YOU DON'T LOOK HUMAN TO ME..." "WE HAVE TO KILL IT BEFORE IT KILLS US!" "IT'S THE ABOMINABLE SNOWMAN! SHOOT IT!" One voice wonders, "AH, MAYBE YOU'RE THE ABOMINABLE SNOWMAN THE WHOLE TOWN'S BEEN MAKING A FUSS ABOUT..." The creature looms over Hiriluk's medical supplies. Hiriluk applies an ointment, saying, "I JUST HAPPENED TO MAKE AN OINTMENT THAT CAN EVEN HEAL BROKEN BONES 3 DAYS AGO." The snowman reacts with shock, "AH, YOU'RE IN LUCK!" as massive impact effects and roars erupt: "ARGGHHHHHH!" "ROWWWWR!" "UOOOGHHHH!"

A massive, fur-covered figure lies sprawled in the snow as bullets rip through the air. Gunfire echoes with sharp SFX: ドン ドン and ヒュオオオ. The wounded beast struggles, blood and sweat flying. A man in a striped outfit yells, "NOT YET! WE'VE GOT TO MAKE SURE HE'S DEAD!" Another laughs triumphantly, "HAHA! I GOT'IM!" while raising his weapon. "KILL IT!" someone shouts. The giant form suddenly rises with a roar, "WAIT!" A voice calls out, "HEY YOU!" The battered figure glares upward, declaring, "THAT SON OF A..." and finishes with fierce resolve, "JUST WHO THE HELL DOES HE THINK I AM...!I"

The massive figure erupts in a dramatic full-page spread, arms thrown wide as snow and debris explode outward. A top-hatted silhouette looms with the declaration, "I WOULD NEVER, EVER," while a voice screams, "SHOOT YOU!" The scene shifts to a close-up of the bloodied, braided man whose eyes blaze with fury. He roars, "MY NAME IS HILULUK! AND I'M A GODDAMN DOCTOR!" The large furry figure stares in shock nearby as impact lines and SFX fill the air.

Inside a cozy, cluttered room a small reindeer-like figure wakes with a start. SFX read ヒュオオオ and SHOULDER.... The bandaged reindeer sits up on a bed, murmuring "RISE..." It then munches bread with a loud "MUNCH," wanders the room, and finally bursts into tears with huge droplets flying. The reindeer wails with dramatic SFX ポロポロ as it sobs uncontrollably.
