In the present Dalton questions the value of status, history, and laws as the gondola nears the castle and he stands to reveal dynamite strapped to his chest. On the snowy roof Luffy faces Wapol, who fires a tongue cannon that explodes part of the tower. Luffy stretches his arms around Wapol's mouth to seal it shut, spins him rapidly, and launches him skyward into the castle spire. Wapol offers ranks and medals to stop the fight, but Luffy stretches his arms across the landscape and slams both fists into him with Gomu Gomu Bazooka. Wapol is blasted far into the distance while screaming and begging to make Luffy vice-king.
