Raizo
Raizo is a ninja from the Wano Kingdom known as Raizou of the Mist and one of the Nine Red Scabbards who serves as a retainer to the Kozuki family. He travels with Kin'emon and Kanjuro while seeking allies to restore the family after the execution of Lord Oden by the Wano shogun and pirate Kaido. Raizo becomes the target of an invasion led by Jack against the minks who hide him in a barrel on Zou. He demonstrates loyalty through defensive actions and preparations that prevent past failures from repeating during later conflicts.
Appearance
Raizo appears as a round dark figure when first shown moving with distinctive tetetete sounds. He bears a large crane crest tattoo on his back along with the Kozuki crest. Heavy chains wrap around his body when revealed inside a barrel container carried by Nekomamushi. Raizo wears ornate scaled clothing and a headband during later confrontations while displaying mask-like face paint.123
Raizo emerges from smoke in a dramatic full-body pose with fierce expression and outstretched hand. He carries swords while standing with serious face in multiple scenes. Raizo rejects stereotypical ninja expectations and blushes when minks demand Earth Release or shuriken training. Raizo began his path as a genius ninja who resigned from the Kozuki family's Oniwabanshu after rejection by a kunoichi. He lived as a mountain bandit in Udon, fighting any man he locked eyes with and kidnapping women until Oden confronted him during travels through Kuri. After a fierce brawl where Oden defeated the bandits, Raizo joined the group and followed Oden onward.262728
